Chapter 318: Chapter 318: Qin Youxuan, the human tape recorder
Dan Hanjie did not intend to justify himself.
Watching her approaching, he reached out to grab her wrist, pulling her over to his side.
“Dan Hanjie, what are you doing? If you keep holding onto me like this, how am I supposed to prepare your food? And, you need to take your medicine, it seems the kettle is out of hot water…”
Youxuan spoke in an indifferent tone, staring at her captured wrist.
He seemed to ignore her when he first woke up, but now he was tightly gripping her hand. What was going on?
“Did everybody just die?” Dan Hanjie snorted with irritation.
Yao, who had just walked into the ward, stepped forward to take the items from Youxuan’s hands, respectfully saying, “Miss Qin, I’ll handle these trivial matters.”
He took the food container and the hot kettle from the table, and turned to leave.
“Prepare the discharge papers.”
Yao had just reached the door when Dan Hanjie’s cold voice sounded. It was a definitive order, leaving no room for debate.
“Yes, Mr. Jie.” Yao paused mid-step, gave a respectful nod, and then left.
“Dan Hanjie, you’ve lost a lot of blood. The doctor said you need to stay in the hospital for a few days to be observed.” Youxuan frowned, her kitten-like eyes fixed on him.
Her tiny hand was clasped in his, gripped tightly as if she might run off the moment he let go.
“Do I look ill to you?” Dan Hanjie squeezed her hand, causing her to gasp in pain. He raised an eyebrow, “Doctors like to exaggerate to cover up their incompetence.”
“…”
If only the doctor had prescribed something to shut up this bitterly sharp-tongued patient.
After getting some rest, his complexion had noticeably improved.
Besides the thick bandaging on his hand, there was no sign of him collapsing from exhaustion yesterday.
His recovery was remarkable.
“I’m perfectly fine and fit enough to even handle you.” Dan Hanjie gave a tug, pulling Youxuan into his arms and lowered his head to kiss her lips.
After a moment of entanglement, his tongue gently traced the contours of her lips.
Her cherry lips were beautiful and sweet, irresistibly soft to his touch.
“But the doctor did say you need to stay in the hospital for observation.” Upon hearing his suggestive words, Youxuan, surprisingly, didn’t blush. She tilted her body carefully to avoid his injured hand, pursing her lips and repeating.
“…”
“Dan Hanjie, the doctor said you need to stay in the hospital for observation.”
“…”
Dan Hanjie’s expression shifted as he stared at her pretty face.
She was calm, too calm for him to read her thoughts.
She kept repeating the same sentence over and over.
If he didn’t agree, she seemed determined to continue nagging him.
“Honestly, I’m not lying. Or you could ask Yao, the doctor really did say you need to stay for at least two days…” Youxuan was about to continue when he cut her off with his predatory gaze.
She pursed her lips, looking down. “The doctor said…”
“If you dare to repeat that, I swear I’ll strangle that doctor and feed his remains to dogs!” Dan Hanjie roared in fury.
He had no idea she could nag this much. It was giving him a throbbing headache.
“…”
How violent.
Youxuan shrunk her neck, then stubbornly looked up at him again. “So, do you still want to be discharged?”
“…” Still asking.
Dan Hanjie met her clear cat-like eyes, momentarily at a loss for words.
“Dan Hanjie, the doctor really did say, you need to…”
“Not… leaving!”
Dan Hanjie gritted his teeth. “Satisfied now?!”
He guaranteed, if the doctor who told her he couldn’t be discharged appeared before him now, he couldn’t hold back his urge to kill!
“If you’re not leaving, that’s good. I’ll tell Yao not to prepare the discharge papers and to bring your meal back quickly. You need to eat and take your medicine.” A smile tugged at the corners of Youxuan’s mouth as her eyes gleamed.
