Chapter 5: Chapter 5. Picked up From The Trash Can
Qin Min knew that Ji Ningyan was still young and would mind that President Wang was older. That was why she had secretly found President Wang’s godson to handle this ‘blind date.’
Who would have thought that Ji Ningyan would reveal this secret?
Qin Min panicked in her heart, but she put a stern look on her face. “Ningyan, what nonsense are you talking about? What do you mean you’re not qualified to know who your blind date partner is?”
“Mom, don’t you know better than anyone else? In the private room, you and I both know who the real President Wang is!” Ji ningyan took a deep breath, her voice cold as she replied.
“You …” Qin Min’s expression changed slightly.
For Ji Ningyan to be able to say such things, there was only one thought in her mind: Ji Ningyan had heard what she had said to Ji Dongting in the study!
This was especially so when she saw Ji Ningyan’s appearance. She had even asked about President Wang’s appearance and recognized him.
Ningyan didn’t wait for her to speak. She said with certainty, “I won’t marry a man older than my father.”
“You were eavesdropping on your Dad and me? Ji Ningyan, how did you manage to go to school all these years?” Qin Min scolded loudly.
More importantly, how much did Ji Ningyan hear?
In the past, Ji Ningyan was very afraid of Qin Min. She always felt that Qin Min was very serious and didn’t like her. In front of Qin Min, she didn’t even dare to speak too loudly.
However, she no longer had so many concerns now. “I didn’t eavesdrop. I just happened to pass by the study that day. Besides, why would you care about what I just heard if you didn’t do anything wrong?”
“You’re still in the right?”
“I didn’t, but do you, Mom, have a reason? Am I even your daughter? President Wang is ten years older than Dad, and I’m only twenty, but you want me to marry such a man?” Ji Ningyan asked sadly.
She suspected that she was picked up from the trash can. That was why Qin Min was so cruel to her.
“What’s wrong with President Wang? Don’t you like President Wang? He is worth hundreds of millions and has power and influence. So what if he is older? If you marry him, you’ll live a young lady’s life and enjoy a lifetime of happiness. Others can’t even marry you even if they want to!”
Qin Min’s guilty conscience lasted for a while before she spoke confidently.
“What?” Ningyan stared at her in disbelief, her face red with anger. “Since President Wang is so good, why don’t you let big sister marry him?”
“Your sister’s marriage has already been set!” Qin min answered coldly.
Ningyan, upon hearing this, actually laughed. “That’s right. Big sister’s marriage has been set, and it was snatched from me. Mother, you do know how to treat people differently. Oh?”
When she was young, she was pretty and sweet-tongued, so the old master of the Lu family especially liked her.
Lu Yian also liked her, so the old master suggested that the two families should have an arranged marriage.
In the end, two years ago, the old master passed away due to illness. Qin Min had discussed with the Lu family to cancel her marriage with Lu Yian without a second thought, but she had turned around and discussed with the Lu family to let Lu Yian marry Ji Yunzi!
Being criticized by Ji Ningyan, Qin Min couldn’t keep her face straight any longer. She raised her hand to slap Ji Ningyan across the face. “Ji Ningyan, how dare you speak to me like this? How dare you?”
Ningyan didn’t dodge the slap. She knew her mother’s secret had been exposed, which was why she was so angry.
She quietly watched Qin Min get angry. Unexpectedly, before Qin Min could reach her face, she was stopped by a giant hand that stretched out from the side.
The other party’s grip was firm. Not only was Qin Min unable to take advantage of Ji Ningyan, but her hand was also almost broken.
Qin Min was furious. She raised her head in exasperation. “Who dares to stop me from educating my daughter?”
