Chapter 6
No, if you think back on it, the latter might be known in advance if you were close to the emperor.
Kalad thought hard about the two predictions she had made.
Whether she’s a real prophet or just a brilliant swindler.
“……okay, then what if all three are true?”
Muttering to himself, he recalled the third ‘prediction’ spoken by the blonde woman.
She said there would be a fire in the food warehouse.
He wasn’t sure, but if it’s someone’s trick to prevent his power from growing, it means that there is an arsonist, not a spontaneous ignition.
It was tonight that the incident was supposed to happen, so it would be worthwhile to pretend to be deceived and to just keep the guards undercover.
While he was thinking about calling the his aide, he recalled how difficult it was to access the food warehouse.
In other words, it would be difficult to set fire to a food warehouse if there weren’t any traitors in his ally.
He tried to predict the future and also warned himself.
Who the hell is the enemy inside?
And that woman…… who is she?
The appearance of scratches all over her whole body came to his mind. Even if she didn’t impersonate the princess, he would still have felt sorry for her.
Kalad headed toward the food warehouse, where the third incident she predicted would take place, in order to solve the complexity in his mind.
Without warning that an event would happen, he called upon his trusted officers to come together. And one of them was a water elementalist, just in case.
If ‘that incident’ really happens, then I have to believe her.

The day was too long because he woke up in the middle of the night because of the earthquake. It was boring and tiring to hide in the shadow of the wall where the food warehouse was well visible.
Even as the moon began to set past overhead, the food warehouse guards kept their place and there were no suspicious disturbances.
Soon it was time for dawn.
“Why the hell are we doing this?”
One of the officers complained about getting bored.
Everyone couldn’t have slept properly due to the earthquake, but even so, they were hiding without knowing the reason, so it was understandable that they were exhausted.
Kalad also thought that the woman’s prophecy was wrong for once.
“Withdraw for now……”
It was when the other officer had just spoken. The sound was cut off. Kalad glared at the roof of the food warehouse, signaling to be quiet.
There was definitely someone. One person? No, it was quite a lot.
As he squeezed his fists lightly, the rest of the officers put their hands on the handle of their swords in unison.
A moment of silence flowed, and several masked men dressed in black jumped off the roof.
Two of them had torches on their hands and the others had what appeared to be oil sacks on their waist.
Just before the soldiers guarding the food storage were stabbed, Kalad shouted at them.
“What are you guys……!”
At that moment, the masked men’s actions stopped, as if they did not expect anyone else besides the guards of the food warehouse.
It only took a moment for the guards who were guarding the food warehouse to be ready to attack and for Kalad’s men to attack the masked people.
A battle broke out in no time.
The number of heads were similar, so it was a challenge. And surprisingly, it was difficult to determine the superiority and inferiority even with their skills.
Kalad took a step away from them, noticing the masked men’s abilities, which he thought would be merely arsonists, were strangely outstanding.
Currently, he was hated by two forces.
For the aristocrats of Hortuac, he was a thorn in the eye who suddenly emerged from a secular state, and for Serine, he was a bat-like man who betrayed his country and was attached to Hortuac to suck their blood.
He didn’t know who these people were, but Serine who hated him, were all poor and couldn’t afford to send these skilled people as arsonists.
Kalad’s black eyes darkened.
“Then it would be okay to deal with them with ease.”
In the midst of the sound of the swords clashing hitting Chet’s ears, Chet didn’t miss the little murmur of the one he serve.
Chet made a gesture of slitting a throat.
When would they ever feel free to fight these Hortuac’s men except now, when they are coming running at them first with a mask on?
The eyes of Kalad’s men have changed.
With their swords hanging, they were determined to kill.
It was said that Kalad Caspian was a toothless dog. Therefore, it was considered a very easy task to set his food warehouse to fire.
How the hell had the plan been known in advance? No matter how much he thought about it there was no way he could guess it. He was sure that the plan was perfect.
While he was thinking about it, he was in a tight spot. Kalad was like a bloodthirsty lunatic. In the meantime, another man shouted.
The masked men’s leader drew the sword roughly several times, spread the distance between the two soldiers, and quickly blew a thin pipe. It was a signal to inform the current situation to his subordinates who had left to set a fire on the ridge.
Everyone had to retreat, so they had to finish their mission quickly and run away.
However, that action shortened his order further.
While he was sending a signal, Kalad’s dark eyes quickly found him.
He was the first one to notice, he quickly cleared up his enemies in front of him and rushed to him.
“……What toothless dog.”
The leader lamented for being in charge of a job with dealing with such a lunatic.
He thought that capturing people alive and torturing them to find out the truth were the most tiresome job, but he realized today that setting something on fire was more tiresome.
Ching!
Instead of outright striking down the sword that Kalad had pierced down, he tried to slightly deflect it. But as soon as their swords made contact the weight of the opponents hefty sword hurt his hand. Even though it was a simple move, it was an attack with enormous power.
He wasn’t praised as a genius for nothing.
Still, it was his loss, he thought he could escape with using one of his subordinates as a shield.
After that, he had to block out three more. The attempt to counterattack while blocking the sword that came through his waist ended in vain.
Kalad looked bitterly at the masked corpses piled up in front of his eyes and then at the wounded soldiers.
“Given that a signal was sent, there will still be more left around. In preparation for another attempt to attack the warehouse, you will remain here, and you will search the surrounding area, and the rest of you will transport the wounded.”
After seeing off the scattered officer for their respective duties, Kalad was busy removing the masks of the bodies, rummaging through their arms, and inferring their background.
After quite a while, by the dawn of the morning, two horses were seen approaching.
What’s going on?
It was Cathy on a pony and a neat blonde woman on a brown horse. She foresaw the events that occurred just now.
He knew Cathy was going to listen to him, but he didn’t know that she would be dragging her all the way here. Did it sound like an urgent order to call her upon once she wakes up?
He was embarrassed and tried to send her back, but the blonde woman skillfully jumped off the horse.
This appearance was also very different from the princess he knew. Princess Alusha, whom he knew, was coward enough to collapse because of a horse coming near her.
People don’t change very easily, but now he has to believe it. That she’s the princess
With her back against the sun, the woman whose face was shaded slowly approached Kalad.
Kalad also approached her, sheathing his sword back.
“It’s dangerous right now. Please go back for now.”
The woman’s eyes turned.
“So you know how to speak formally.”
