Chapter 28: Little Childhood Sweetheart Is Quite Feisty (Part 28)
Qi He’s heart jolted when he heard the word “old man”.
“Ah… It shouldn’t be that terrible, right? Yun Fanxing is quite pretty. It would be so sad if she had to marry some old bachelor.”
“You don’t know anything. That’s precisely what’s going to happen because she is pretty. If she were ugly, she would only have to marry some middle-aged man and give birth to his child. Being pretty, she would probably end up as prey for many men.”
“But why would she end up marrying only an old man?”
“Girls are really morons. Look at how stupid and abnormal she is. Other than old unmarried men who are either poor or widowed, who would be willing to marry a fool?”
The girl sighed when she heard this. “In that case, Yun Fanxing is very pitiful!”
Qi He only felt that something was odd.
Even if she was pitiful, would it be this girl’s business? If she had such empathy for her, why didn’t she befriend her? She had talked about Yun Fanxing behind her back, just to show that she had empathy. So what?
“What has that got to do with you?” Qi He said suddenly as he was writing beside her.
“Qi He, what did you say?” The girl didn’t hear him properly.
Qi He sat right beside her. Besides, who wouldn’t have a crush on a good-looking guy?
But he didn’t really talk to anyone, and so, she hadn’t spoken much to him.
“Is it any of your damned business if Yun Fanxing is pitiful or not? If you have the time to worry about who she is going to marry, why don’t you worry about your upcoming test results? Looking at your combined scores of all the subjects, I reckon you will find yourself in a sorry plight as well in the future.”
When Qi He unleashed his viciousness, his classmate broke out in tears.
Qi He couldn’t care less. She could cry for as long as she wanted.
This little idiot had been mocked at both publicly and behind her back. Yet, she didn’t even cry once. These girls weren’t even as strong as her!
But the girl’s remarks had entered Qi He’s subconsciousness…
He was indeed a little worried about this little idiot…
And because of that reason, Qi He became even more hardworking.
Honestly speaking, other than being dim-witted, having too much strength, and being rather violent and moody at times, the little idiot didn’t have any other shortcomings.
After spending time with her, he felt she was quite likable.
If he expanded his social circle, he could meet someone who would fall for this little idiot.
And so, Fanxing interpreted Qi He’s hard work as—
Little flower is really obedient.
Soul Searching Spirit choked on its own blood.
It had a hunch that the reason why Qi He didn’t venture onto the wrong path was that Fanxing had gotten into too much trouble herself.
Fanxing was supposed to be taking care of God of War’s soul fragment. But everything had developed well beyond its imagination. God of War had become a tool that had to worry and take care of Fanxing instead.
Damn it! Wasn’t this all wrong?
It shouldn’t be like this!
This host was really—
too much!
Soul Searching Spirit berated her silently, but it didn’t voice anything to her.
In the blink of an eye, it was the second semester.
Fanxing was on her way home after night revision. She was nibbling on her spicy snacks as she walked home slowly.
As she walked, she felt something warm flowing down. It was accompanied by pangs of pain, and the little girl went pale instantly.
She hugged her snack and squatted in silence.
It was so painful!
She seemed to have gone numb.
She caught a whiff of her snack and decided to take another bite to calm herself down.
Qi He had never gone to school or went back home with her, over fear that someone might find out about them. Most importantly, the little idiot walked at the speed of a snail.
After he had waited for half an hour, Fanxing still hadn’t come back home.
