Chapter 27: The Experiment Success

“Gray, how are you feeling?” Dr. Zhang asked immediately after seeing Gray put the crystal core in his mouth.

“I feel like this crystal core doesn’t have any taste. It feels like I didn’t eat anything. Also, it feels like it melted the moment it entered my mouth.” Hearing Dr. Zhang’s question, Gray began to describe the process to him.

It felt as if the crystal core had melted.

Dr. Zhang recorded Gray’s description in his notebook as data for future research.

“Then do you feel any changes in your body?”

“My body feels healthy. Awesome!” Before Gray could finish, he screamed.

“Gray, what’s wrong?” Dr. Zhang asked.

“It hurts, it hurts. I feel like my… entire body is being bitten… by piranhas,” Gray replied intermittently.

“How is Gray’s health?” Seeing that Gray was in so much pain, Dr. Zhang did not continue asking him. Instead, he turned and asked his assistant.

They had installed various instruments in this tank to monitor Gray’s status. It was to deal with any unexpected changes.

“Gray’s temperature is rising non-stop. It’s already past 40 degrees. However, the physical index of Gray’s body seems to be increasing. The rate of increase can be considered very fast.”

Dr. Zhang’s assistant replied after checking the various feedbacks on the monitors.

“Make sure that the medicinal liquid is well supplied. Once the medicinal effect starts decreasing, replenish it immediately.” Dr. Zhang immediately emphasized to his assistant.

Dr. Zhang also told Gray about the situation and used this data to encourage Gray to persevere.

“Gray, how are you feeling? Can you hear us?” Dr. Zhang asked.

They walked to the weapons laboratory.

“Dr. John, how’s your research on crystal core weapons?” In the weapons laboratory, Dr. Zhang met his good friend, Dr. John. The two of them had different research directions, but they both had the heart to contribute to the Federation.

“We have already researched some methods to use the energy in the crystal core to power weapons. I believe your horizons will be broadened soon.” Dr. John replied with a smile.

“By the way, why do you have the time to come to my weapon laboratory? Don’t you usually hole up in your laboratory to do experiments?”

Dr. John saw Dr. Zhang appear in his weapons laboratory and asked him in surprise.

“John, your weapon laboratory is not the only one which has achieved results. My biological laboratory has also obtained some initial results. I want to borrow your weapon laboratory to do some tests.”

Dr. Zhang knew that his old friend wanted to check his experiment progress. He was in a good mood today, so he told Dr. John about his situation.

“Zhang, you guys have also achieved results? This is great. Our hopes for the future have increased. Can I watch your test?” Dr. John immediately asked to watch.

“Haha, let’s watch together then.” Dr. Zhang did not refuse. They walked to the weapons laboratory’s testing room.

“Then let’s begin the test. First, we’ll test your strength. Gray, do you think you’re in your best condition?” Dr. Zhang said to Gray.

“Doctor, I think I’m in a great state. We can start.” Gray replied excitedly. Clearly, he also wanted to know his current strength.

“Alright, Gray, hit this machine behind me with your full strength. Get ready. You can start at any time,” Dr. Zhang pointed at the machine behind him.

Gray stood in front of the machine and took a deep breath. Then, he suddenly exerted strength in his footsteps, and with a twist of his waist, a powerful force was transmitted to his hand. Then, he punched.

The moment Gray’s arm made contact with the machine, there was a loud sound.

Dr. Zhang and the others quickly looked at the screen.

“About 200kg,” Gray said after some thought.

“An increase of about four to five times. As expected, I knew God wouldn’t abandon us. Let’s do the speed test next,” Dr. Zhang said to Gray after recording some data.

They moved to the place where they could test the speed.

“Gray, do you see these two lines? In a while, run from this line to the red line. The speedometer will determine your speed. Do you understand? Just like last time, when you’re ready, you can begin.”

Gray nodded and adjusted himself before walking to the starting line.
