Chapter 31: Battle Begins
At the edge of the Deathly Silence of Black Forest, dense fog shrouded everyone’s vision.
Ronald and the others waited at the edge of Deathly Silence. Although they did not know where this group of obsessed people would come from, any movement in the forest would not escape Ronald’s senses.
At this moment, other than Ronald himself, there was also the ice-type Mage Alpha, water-type healer Delta, and metal-type Sword Demon standing beside him without saying a word.
Relatively speaking, there was no meaning for Delta to stand here. His physical strength was not strong, and he only had extraordinary healing skills. In terms of combat power, he was only a weakling with less than five combat power.
Even an ordinary Mage could easily defeat him. The reason why he dared to stand here was because of Ronald’s protection. If not for his terrifying strength, Delta would have fled as far as possible.
“Your strength needs to be honed too,” said Ronald slowly as he looked at the two.
“Yes, yes, yes. You’re right, my lord.” The two of them nodded quickly in agreement. They naturally knew their strength, which was unknown to anyone. If they hadn’t been protected by Blake, they wouldn’t have survived until now.
“They’re here.” Suddenly, Ronald’s eyes glinted, and his lips curled up into a smile.
“Are those Mages here?” The two of them seemed a little nervous.
“It’s more than enough to deal with these mobs with Sword Demon around.” Ronald looked at Sword Demon and nodded. Under his signal, Sword Demon stepped forward with the black-golden greatsword in hand and walked towards the edge of Deathly Silence. He looked forward and did not move.
Sword Demon was powerful. Especially after witnessing Ronald’s swordsmanship, it had also brought great inspiration to his swordsmanship. During this period of time, his swordsmanship had improved rather quickly. It was simply breathtaking.
Up ahead, shadows of groups of people could be seen in the dense fog. It was impossible to tell how many there were.
“They’re here.” Alpha and Delta narrowed their eyes and looked forward.
Groups of Mages kept approaching, making the two of them feel pressured. There were too many Mages, and they could not see the end of them, let alone tell how many forces there were.
“Kill. Take Ronald’s head and we’ll be rich.”
“Furthermore, I can also obtain the title and position of the Seven Disciples. This is too exciting.”
“Brothers, we are about to reach the shore. Get ready, we are about to go to war.”
“…”
Raging laughter drifted from the forest ahead and entered Ronald’s ears.
He didn’t have much of an expression on his face. These Mages were just cannon fodder.
“Does Mystic Fire Guild expect these trash to defeat me?” Ronald shook his head and said calmly.
It was not that he was arrogant, but the enemies in front of him were really too weak. They could not even touch Blake, let alone him.
These people were purely here to die. No one knew what the people from Mystic Fire Guild were thinking, actually sending them here to die.
Of course, perhaps Mystic Fire Guild also wanted to reduce the number of local forces in the East Continent. That was why they used Ronald as bait to let the local forces kill each other.
In any case, no matter what the final result was, Mystic Fire Guild wouldn’t suffer any losses.
Ronald stood by the forest, unmoved. Even though the crowd ahead was getting closer, he did not show any signs of nervousness.
At the same time, among the group of people in front, the Mages looked at the terrifying castle in front of them with excitement on their faces. They even saw Ronald and the rest on the shore and shouted.
“I saw him. That person, he’s Ronald!”
“Ronald is indeed here. Brothers, it’s time for us to make our move. Be prepared. We can’t let others steal our spoils of war.”
Countless Mages were fired up, and their eyes were fixed on Ronald. Their eyes were burning, and they wanted to swallow him alive. They shouted, “Do it!”
“Attack!”
The crowd surged and the ground shook.
How many people were there exactly? The fog was so thick that it was impossible to tell. They could only see a dense mass of human heads ahead.
After a large group of Mages rushed out of the fog, they saw Ronald’s position in an instant. They were completely insane and thrilled as they launched their first wave of swift attacks. “Attack!”
Groups of people armed themselves with swords and spears without any fear. Indeed, Mages did not make up the majority of the forces because in the East Continent, there weren’t many Mages. Many local forces didn’t even have more than 10 Mages.
Faced with such a large group of people, Alpha and Delta were a little nervous and could not help but shrink their bodies. Although they were Mages, they did not have such strong combat power. If the people in front of them crashed into them, they would be trampled into pieces.
“My lord.” The two of them looked at Ronald’s back and took a deep breath before calming down.
With Ronald standing in front of them, they felt a sense of security. At this moment, Ronald looked at the groups of people wielding weapons in front of him. His eyes darted around as his gaze lingered in the crowd.
If even Mages could not find this place so accurately, there must be someone guiding them. And who exactly was this so-called ‘person with aspirations’?
I can’t find them. It seems that they are hiding among the group of Mages behind. Are they from Mystic Fire? Or perhaps some other larger forces? But it should be fine as long as we kill them.
The corners of Ronald’s mouth curled up as he smiled faintly.
