검은나비, 검은나비는 어디가서 물을 마실까 Section 6
The terrible murder that happened after a long while has again attracted people’s attention. Again, Alvin Jones’ name popped out, but police denied the allegations based on the difference between murder and torture as in their Modus Operandi (M.O.).
In addition, Mrs. Zegens, who died, didn’t get along very well with her neighbors; sometimes all she did was interacting with her son and because of her eccentric and capricious personality, her neighbors disliked her. When the children’s ball goes into her garden, she would jump out with angry faces and try to hit them one by one. It seemed true that outsiders were not welcomed by her.
“-We are continuing the investigation. You won’t be able to go home for a while.”
Tim gave a quick account to the pale man. The man came to the police station readily responded to the interrogation, but was in a state of panic a little due to severe trauma. He stammered and knew that his mother was not of a very good character, but he broke down in tears, saying that she didn’t deserve this. Tim calmed the man with a little awkwardness, and approached Jude, who was leaning on the side of the police station with a sleepy face.
“What do you think?”
“-Yes-? What.”
“Jude, wake up. The case, the case.”
“Oh, yeah, the case. I guess the murderer hated this lady terribly.”
“That’s for sure. How much do you hate someone just to do this?”
“This person must’ve been arguing a lot, or have heard a lot of abusive language from her. It’s not just a few times. We need to find the relationship centered on that circumstances.”
“A verbal argument? Why?”
“Hand in the mouth.”
“What?”- As he frowned slightly at his eyebrows, Jude closed his eyes and shook his head a few times as if he were trying to chase away the sleepiness, pointing to the table where the on-site photos were placed.
“The hand from the upper body was stuck in the mouth of the severed head on the table, and I found out later that there was something like food waste on the cross-section of the cut neck.”
“So?”
“That’s telling her to shut up.”
It was quite perverted. With the gaze of asking “why?” Tim nodded a little dubiously.
It was something that could be thought of quickly, but it wasn’t easy to adapt to these terrible and incomprehensible situations. Did the murderer do this just because wanting to keep the other person’s mouth shut? Feeling uncomfortable, Tim asked while Jude searches his pocket, “Ah-I want some mint candy, mint candy.”
“In the future … will there be another murder?”
“Huh? I don’t know. If he’s a violent person, this could be a trigger to keep killing. If the murderer just hated her, it could have ended this way. But given that he’s done something this cruel at first, I think it’s more likely to happen in the future. Well, we’ve just got to do our investigation quickly and catch the criminal.”
“Oh …”
I wonder if my nerves are delicate. As he watched Jude yawning and peeling the mint candy, Tim asked this small question. Originally, he was always such a carefree guy, but I thought it was amazing to see him maintain his default face even when such a bizarre murder case happened.
“Let’s get some rest, and start the search again.”
“Yeah. Well, we’re not the only ones working, so … I’m going to sleep, I’m dying.”
“Yes. I’ll wake you up in three hours.”
