- Chapter 3 - Did I Wake Up The Sleeping Prince Of The Magic Tower? Chapter 3
“Wow, what’s up with the view here?”
The sunset was turning red as if it would burn up the vast rainforest surrounding the Magic Tower, the Angresia Forest.
The tower was located in the middle of the Angresia Forest, which was far from the inhabited area, to block outside intrusion. It was literally a building built in the center of Mother Nature.
Moreover, this top floor was the highest floor of the tall building, so the view from the window was simply spectacular.
“Why didn’t you ever think about ing up at this hour? It’s a great viewpoint!”
Come to think of it, it was the first time I had e up to the top floor outside of the scheduled time. The time Edel went to take care of the prince was morning, lunch, and late evening before going to bed.
On the first day of possessing this body, I vividly remembered facing the wide and black sky that seemed like a pile of stars would fall.
“No one would say anything, so it would have been great to e and have a drip coffee.”
Ah, was there coffee in this world? I think I’ve seen some kinds of herbal tea.
I was mesmerized for a moment and watched as the setting sun faded little by little.
For a moment, I even thought that I might be enjoying a break at a Southeast Asian resort.
“Will I miss my previous life?”
I briefly thought of the people from my previous life. Friends and family. Someone must have found me, right?
In my previous world, I had no family except for my father, whom I had little contact with.
My grandmother, who raised and took care of me, passed away, and my mom died of illness shortly after giving birth to me.
Heartbroken, my father sent me to my grandmother, saying that every time he saw me, he thought of my mother. Was it because of the memory of being rejected by my father as a child? I have lived for more than 30 years without any particular close friends.
“It wasn’t my fault.”
When I came to this other world, I thought it was rather fortunate that no one was worried, but I couldn’t help feeling bitter on the other hand.
A sigh came out.
Comforting my sinking feeling, I sat by the window and turned my gaze to the prince lying in the middle of the room.
“The Prince doesn’t have a piece of work today.”
Whether I felt frustrated or not, even today he lay like a work of art in the Renaissance era today. The fading light of the setting sun fell on the glass coffin, creating another subtle strange color that was different from usual.
It was a beautiful view that made my mouth drop open before I knew it.
Handsome. No, he was beautiful. It was a face that would be insufficient no matter what flowery words I say. I might have to retract what I had confidently exclaimed that I was not a teenage girl and would not fall in love just by looking at his face.
“Is it because of the preservation magic? His hair doesn’t even get tangled up.”
He had been lying in the same position for more than two years, and time seemed to stand still inside the glass coffin. Black hair neatly arranged, smooth ceramic skin, lively lips and cheeks.
And his strong body that can be seen at a glance.
‘Whoa, so damn handsome.’
He seemed to be shining just by looking at him with his eyes closed, but I couldn’t even imagine what it would be like if he opened those closed eyes and saw his sparkling pupils full of vitality.
“Yes, as expected, the male lead should be like this!”
Of course, of course. It’s a satisfying visual. I thought it was better to be able to imagine it with text, but the real thing beat my imagination!
Laughter flowed out, which anyone would have said was sinister if they had seen it.
The sun was setting while I was drumming and playing janggu alone. And still, the prince was motionless.
“But since you’re asleep, you won’t feel stuffy, right?”
Muttering an unanswered question, I walked to the side of the glass coffin and sat down on my knees. It was a strange idea. I’m asleep, and I can’t be frustrated. He’s asleep, so there’s no way he feels stuffy.
I stared at the prince’s face for a moment and reached out my hand and placed it on top of the glass coffin.
“අවදි වන්න”
An unfamiliar language flowed from my mouth, and at the same time, a pale light that was difficult to spot unless one looked closely enveloped the glass coffin.
It was the starting word of Edel’s defense magic that she practiced every day.
She was born with weak magic power, but it could also be further unlocked through effort. Edel had practiced every day with the determination of being a proper mage.
“Well, nothing has changed.”
It would have been nice if I had received at least the power I didn’t have while possessing this body. But unfortunately, the bluish light shining on my fingertips was still only faint.
“I don’t know if it works properly.”
It’s not dangerous magic, so I can try something else, right?
“උනුසුම් වීම”
What was it called, recovery magic……? I frowned and fumbled through Edel’s memory.
Again a faint light leaked out. Yes, it’s magical power. Right, this magic is correct.
“Umm…… What else is there?”
Obviously, there was no problem with speaking and seeing, but was it because it was not a pletely familiar language? I couldn’t think of any other magic spell starter words Edel was practicing.
Hmm, well. I don’t think I’ll live my life using magic in the future.
“It’s quickly getting dark.”
Before I knew it, a bright moon appeared in the sky. The windows in the room were not narrow, but the soft moonlight slowly began to spread throughout the room.
And it wasn’t long before the light came on from the artifact lights placed all over the room.
Instead of electricity, which did not exist in this world, it was a light that operated with magic stones.
Magic Stones were quite an expensive item, but Méliz, the master of Magic Tower, was a person with enormous wealth who could handle magic stones like rolling stones.
This allowed me to e and go without danger, even when I came up to the top floor late in the day.
“It would be perfect if they could make an elevator, no, an escalator, with this flow.”
Of course, when the prince wakes up, I won’t have to climb to the top floor, right?
The exact date was unknown, but I could tell that the time of the female protagonist’s appearance was getting closer.
Surely the female protagonist must be incredibly beautiful, right? I hummed in anticipation.
“Tsk tsk, look at the dust here?”
When I got up and brushed off my butt, it was full of dust.
It was a space where purification magic was basically applied, but it was not as clean as a person touching it directly, it felt like seeing a robot vacuum cleaner……
“Should I clean it up later?”
Also, if I do it, I’m a person who does it right.
“No, no way. In my previous life, I used to work like a pushover!”
An intense sense of crisis flashed through my mind. Never in this life! This is why habit is scary. I almost pushed myself into the pit of work again.
“Unconditionally! Work-life balance is good! I’m going to live a life with dinner[1]!”
‘Foolish prince. My power is not something you, a mere human, can stop.’
‘You have a talent for talking nonsense.’
He was investigating a village that was in ruins after being attacked by an apostle.
There have been reports of finding a gate that appeared to be connected to their base.
Leaving behind the Knights’ worries that it might be a trap, Licht walked directly into the place. It was because he thought it was fast to solve the problem himself even if there was a problem.
The trap was familiar.
This was because Empress Elysia was impatient to obstruct all of Licht’s path.
But before her interference could be a stumbling block, Licht was already a magic swordsman.
His powerful magic power, which had the trait of fire, was already manifested by the time he began to walk.
It was also a long time ago that he had attained the title of Advanced Mage.
Not only that, but he was also a powerful swordsman who could put an aura on his sword.
Perhaps because of this, he never thought that he would not be able to fend off the Apostle’s attack.
It was the only blunder he hadn’t expected that he would attack him in a different way than before.
As soon as Licht approached the entrance of the hideout, Deus, known as the head of the Apostles, appeared.
The Knights who were following Licht were blocked by a barrier that suddenly appeared and prevented them from approaching the space around him.
By the time Licht realized that Deus, who would normally have casted an attack spell, was exquisitely inducing Licht to stay out of a certain radius, it was only after the already prepared magic circle had been activated.
Soon, a ghastly dark energy enveloped his body, and at the same time he lost consciousness.
That was Licht’s last memory.
Yes, he fell into a deep sleep.
Licht looked at his condition, recalling his memory again.
‘I’m sure I’m still lying down.’
His throbbing head was telling him that his senses had returned. He couldn’t see anything, but at least his nociception[2] seemed to have recovered.
‘I can’t see anything, I can’t hear anything.’
He sighed.
‘I’ve let my guard down.’
He thought he was already a master, but he couldn’t believe he was beaten so easily.
Licht clenched his teeth.
