Chapter 18: The Rich Wayward Ren

The fat guy was called Wayward Ren. His dad was the boss of a mining company and possessed billions of assets. Wayward Ren and Wang Hao had been very close when they were in high school. He had a nickname, and was called Rich Wayward Ren.
Today was an extremely unlucky day, but Wang Hao couldn’t say that out loud, so he shrugged. “It’s an unlucky day; I can’t help it.”
Suddenly, the man who got tossed aside came back to argue with them. One of Wayward Ren’s guards then slapped him. “F*ck off!” The man fell back right away.
Their boss had run into his childhood friend, and they couldn’t let anybody come up and spoil the mood. If somebody disrupted the reunion, they would look incapable and disgraceful. So, they felt the need to sort things out.
“Hmm, it’s no big deal driving a Ferrari, but you…” Wayward Ren put his arm around Wang Hao’s shoulders and said, “I heard that you suffered a blow in college. What was that about?”
“Typical relationship matters.” Wang Hao thought running into his ex was already extremely unlucky, but now he knew — that had simply been the “appetizer.”
The “main course” was life-threatening!!
Wang Hao smiled and shook his head. “Now isn’t a good time to talk about it; maybe next time. Right, what have you been up to?”
“Me? I hooked up with a starlet recently, and I’m funding a web drama for her to act in.” Wayward Ren giggled and asked, “Are you interested? If you are, I can arrange a supporting role for you. What do you think?”
“You tycoon.” Wang Hao laughed and said, “I don’t act. Are you kidding me?”
“Hehe, just for fun.” Wayward Ren chuckled. “Lucky for me, I got to meet you again. Hurry up and give me your WeChat ID and phone number! We can grab a drink in the next few days. I’ve been struggling in recent years to find someone who can drink with me! I’m so frustrated.”
After exchanging their WeChat IDs and phone numbers, Wang Hao said, “The rich Master Ren can’t find any drinking buddies?”
“Where’s the joy in drinking with those b*stards? They have to agree with me, even when I tell them sh*t,” Wayward Ren said. “It’s better to hang out with you. We’ve known each other for almost 15 years, haven’t we? When I drink with you, I can say whatever I want without being hypocritical about it!”
“Shut up.” Wang Hao smiled and gave Wayward Ren a punch. “Deal, let’s grab a drink some other time!”
Now that Wang Hao had agreed, Wayward Ren suddenly squinted and asked him, “Hao, tell me: Who’s the woman in the car?”
“She’s nobody.” Wang Hao scratched his head. “Well, just a friend.”

“A friend who drives you around in a Ferrari?” Wayward Ren smirked. “Something’s definitely going on between the two of you, right? Are you busy with her?”
“We’re really just friends.” Wang Hao shook his head. “It’s not what you think.” Then, he pondered for a while and asked, “By the way, what do you mean by ‘busy’?”
“F*ck, seriously? You don’t get it?” Wayward Ren chuckled, then formed a hole with his right hand and stuck a finger through it. “Have you…?”
“You filthy scum! Just like when you were young!” Wang Hao laughed and shouted at him.
“Introduce her to me.” Wayward Ren chortled.
With the help of Wayward Ren’s bodyguards, everything finally seemed to have calmed down.
Just then, the twisted door of the Ferrari slowly opened.
The woman got out. When she paused, Wang Hao clearly heard the crowd go quiet for a moment, before the silence was followed by even more discussion —
“Look, a gorgeous lady! Look at her figure!”
“She’s really a rich, fair and beautiful woman? F*ck, so that’s her boyfriend?”
“I’m super envious!!! If I can touch her hands, I’d never wash mine for a whole month!”
“Incomparable! I bet she’s definitely more alluring when she takes off the sunglasses!”
“Such a stunner! She’s definitely a stunner!”
“What… what the f*ck!” Wayward Ren’s small little eyes instantly widened until they almost popped out. “Hao, your… your girl is definitely an angel, f*ck!” A man like him, who had encountered countless women, was still astonished by her!
“This woman was indeed born with the ability to attract everybody’s attention,” Wang Hao thought.
Such an ability couldn’t be acquired; it was a unique trait that belonged only to her. This was what it meant to “obscure the moon and make the flowers blush.”
Right now, everyone was watching. The car owners were all in a hurry to settle the matter, but when they saw this woman who was as cold as an iceberg, they didn’t dare say a word.
This woman had been born superior, and was just like the dragon who suppressed the other creatures in a novel.
But that only made Wang Hao more anxious!
Who knew whether the power of “Extremely Unlucky” had already passed or not?
“Why did you get out?” Wang Hao ran toward her and said, “Be careful. I can’t guarantee your safety.”
Not just your safety, but mine as well!
“Don’t worry, I’ve made some calls.” The woman looked around, as chilly as usual, and said, “Flat tire, sorry.”
Normally, she wouldn’t care to look at anyone. Surprisingly, however, she glanced at Wayward Ren and asked Wang Hao, “Your friend?”
“Erm… oh, my childhood friend.” Wang Hao introduced them. “He’s Wayward Ren, also called Rich Wayward Ren.”
“Hello.” The woman nodded and greeted Wayward Ren.
“H- Hao, you’re my brother!” Wayward Ren gave Wang Hao a fierce hug and squealed like a pig. “Ask your girl to introduce me to some pretty ladies! The rest of my life depends on you!”
“You… be gentle… I can’t breathe…” Wang Hao’s face turned red and he gasped for breath.
“Hanging out with you is surely the best!” Wayward Ren was so emotional that he almost wiped his nose on Wang Hao’s clothes…
At that moment, Wang Hao suddenly heard a “crack” from the ground, and his blood instantly froze. He looked around and immediately pulled the woman into his arms, then grabbed Wayward Ren and ran to the side!
“Keep up!” Wang Hao was drenched in sweat. “Run!”
