Chapter 33: Lorne Gains Strength After Dealing With The Behemoths

No matter how angry and anxious the Behemoths grew, they could not change the outcome. Ten minutes passed quickly, and the seal was reactivated. The vortex was slowly closed, and countless monsters roared in anguish, making ear-piercing noises.
After Pontus made his move, he instantly attacked Hades, relieving Aphrodite of her strain.
The latter knew that things were beyond salvaging. Now was not the best time to expose himself, so he quickly left the battlefield and disappeared.
Pontus initially wanted to chase after him, but seeing that Poseidon was in danger, he turned around and helped Poseidon, taking on two Behemoths by himself.
Poseidon heaved a sigh of relief. The pressure was greatly reduced, and he began to attack the single Behemoth with all his might. He felt that this was his opportunity to gain more power.
He fought fiercely.
Not long after, one of the six Behemoths that surrounded Lorne fell.
There were only five left. When the remaining Behemoths saw this, they revealed a human-like fear.
Lorne’s expression suddenly changed slightly. This was because the Behemoth that he had killed had actually provided him with pure energy. It had been absorbed by his Divine Spark. His strength had increased slightly, bringing him great joy.
He had not thought that killing a Behemoth would bring such a benefit. Previously, he had been experimenting. Only fallen gods seemed to grant him power.
Therefore, he attacked the remaining Behemoths with renewed fervor, bringing terror upon them.
They did not like what they were seeing, so they each ran in five different directions.
“Where are you going?!”
Lorne naturally did not want to let such an opportunity pass.
In an instant, he stopped one of them. In a one-on-one fight, this Behemoth did not even last ten seconds its body was crushed beyond recognition.
He quickly said to Pontus, “Don’t kill that one and leave it for me!” Then he went to chase after the other four Behemoths.
Pentos was stunned. He had originally wanted to finish off his foe, but after Lorne’s words, he backed off and simply circled his wounded prey. Although he did not know what Lorne was up to, he naturally humored his savior.
Poseidon was the only one left fighting the Behemoth alone.
“Hi! Do you need my help?”
“No!”
Poseidon refused in a muffled voice and attacked even more frenziedly.
Soon, he managed to kill his foe. However, he was also slightly injured, but he was very happy.
He felt himself on the cusp of the True God Realm.
He dug out the Beast Crystal from the Behemoth’s body. As long as he absorbed this, he had a high chance of breaking through.
After he put it away, he looked at the corpses not far away, revealing a greedy look. However, he did not dare to move because it was Lorne’s spoils of war.
“Do the crystals also empower him?”
He had heard Lorne’s voice transmission earlier and was a little puzzled. Then, the three of them began to treat their own injuries and waited for Lorne.
About half an hour later, Lorne returned with a smile on his face. He nodded at Pontos, then killed the two Behemoths with two punches. He once again felt the pure energy being absorbed by his Divine Spark, recovering his health and empowering him further.
“How was it?”
“All dead!” Lorne understood what the other party meant, and said with a smile.
If it weren’t for the Behemoths scattering in different directions, he would not have taken so long.
“That’s good! Lorne, thank you so much this time! If you need anything in the future, you can look for me. I will definitely help you!”
Pontus then looked at Lorne and said with great sincerity.
After all, when he had looked for Lorne’s help previously, Lorne had agreed to it without any hesitation, making him look at him favorably.
Poseidon looked at Lorne enviously. After all, Pontus was a powerful True God, and his word was of great value.
“It’s alright!”
Lorne was a little happy when he heard that. After all, he had gained a True God ally. Although he did not think he would need it, he was still very happy.
Then, he looked at Aphrodite. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine. Thank you, Lorne.” Aphrodite looked at Lorne’s big, bright eyes sincerely.
“It’s nothing. Since it’s over, I’ll leave now!” Then, he nodded to Pontus and disappeared.
“Aphrodite, I’ll leave now. I’ll go back to Mount Olympus to cultivate. I’ll break through to the True God realm when I come out!”
Poseidon looked at Aphrodite and was very happy.
“Mm-hmm! Congratulations! Thank you for your help this time!”
Aphrodite also thanked Poseidon.
“It’s okay, hehe!”Poseidon giggled like a fool and touched the back of his head in embarrassment.
Then, he exchanged a few words with the goddess and fled.
“Eh, this guy actually likes my sister. He’s not too bad. What do you think? Do you have any thoughts?”
At this time, Pontus suddenly appeared and said with interest as he watched Poseidon leave.
Aphrodite was stunned when she heard that and glanced at her brother, “What are you talking about! Why would he like me?!”
After saying that, she ignored him and left the seabed. With her intelligence, she naturally knew that what her brother said was true, but unfortunately, she did not like him.
It was a pity that beauties kept suitors hanging around.
Pontus rubbed his chin, a look of pity on his face. He felt that this Poseidon was not bad. He had great potential and was a friend of the seas.
…
After leaving the seabed, Lorne could no longer hide the smile on his face. He had not expected to gain so much from this encounter. Six Behemoths plus another two from Pontus, a total of eight Behemoths had provided him with a large amount of pure energy. It had increased his strength by about one-fifth.
His divine spark had been upgraded to a higher level.
Not long after, he arrived at Athens city and put away the divine sword. After some scouting, he found that there was not a single monster in the surroundings. It seemed that Athena and the others had successfully defended the city.
Now, the entrance to the core of the earth had been re-sealed. Although those monsters still existed, they would not reappear as long as there was the seal.
Either way, it no longer mattered to Lorne. It did not take long for Athena to return looking exhausted. The moment she saw Lorne, surprise flashed in her eyes.
“How is it? Has the entrance been sealed?”
He had left a message for Athena before he left.
“Yes, yes, it has been sealed.”
Lorne hugged her and said gently.
The latter buried her head in Lorne’s chest and said softly, “Now that everything has fallen back under control, I have some good news.”
“What good news?”
“It’s the calamity. My actions brought in a massive influx of faith. There’s just so much of it that I don’t dare to use it. I’ve stored it all into my godhead.”
“What?” Lorne was stunned.
Athena looked at Lorne’s expression and burst into laughter. “It should be related to this calamity. Right now, people are saying that I’m the one who stopped the monsters!”
She said proudly..
