She turned around to confirm that the villa was no longer in sight before she could truly relax.
What was that about coming back to him voluntarily after she had taken her revenge? Why would she do something like that? She was not an idiot!
Then, remembering her pledge, Song Wenxin looked down at her chest… she guessed she could live with a flatter chest. Well, she could always eat more papaya and hope for the best!
Gritting her teeth, she silently cursed Shen Jiayu a thousand times in her heart! That jerk. He had actually dared to do this to her! She was definitely going to make sure that he paid for what he had done!
She rested by the roadside and, after a few minutes, noticed a cab approaching. Despite knowing that she had no money on her, she hailed it and got in anyway.
In the cab, Song Wenxin thought through the details of the whole incident and eventually worked out what it was all about!
The luxurious villa that she had just escaped from was located in an area where only the super-rich and famous people could afford to live!
She figured that, by offering her as a present, Shen Jiayu was probably trying to curry favor with that man!
From the looks of it, that man would probably have the power and capability to help the Shen family!
Having worked it all out, her hatred of the Shen family grew even more intense!
About thirty minutes later, the cab came to a halt outside the main entrance to the Songs’ western-styled house.
Song Wenxin got out of the cab and pressed the doorbell of her home.
A short while later, someone had come out to open the door for her.
It was Song Jiamu, Song Wenxin’s brother.
Looking surprised at seeing Song Wenxin, he said, “Wenxin, you’re back at last!”
Holding back her anger, Song Wenxin shot her brother a look that radiated misery and exhaustion before pointing to the cabbie who had been standing behind her, waiting to collect his fare.
Understanding what she meant, Song Jiamu immediately took out his wallet to pay the cabbie.
Taking big strides, Song Wenxin walked into the house.
There, in the living room, beside her parents, she saw someone she disliked with every fiber of her being!
Shen Jiayu!
Song Wenxin really could not believe that he would have the balls to show up in her presence!
“Wenxin, you’re back at last!” Shen Jiayu walked over to her, looking happy to see her.
When she saw him, Song Wenxin’s anger just boiled over!
She glared at him and did not say a word, ignoring him.
Upon seeing her, Mrs. Song could not resist fussing. “Wenxin, it’s almost dawn. Where have you been all this time? We were about to call the police!”
Song Wenxin did not respond to her mother either but, instead, headed resolutely toward and entered the kitchen.
Everyone in the room looked puzzled. Shen Jiayu, who had been following behind her, also had a confused look on his face.
Shortly after, Song Wenxin emerged from the kitchen with a cleaver in her hand!
“Shen Jiayu, I’m going to kill you!” Song Wenxin walked determinedly toward Shen Jiayu, wielding the cleaver.
Everyone was even more shocked and began to scramble about, trying to stop her.
“What has happened?” Her brother, Song Jiamu, rushed to stop her in her tracks, looking stunned and demanding an explanation.
So what had provoked his silly baby sister to make her do this?!
“Don’t anybody stop me. I will kill this weasel today, no matter what!” yelled Song Wenxin, brandishing the cleaver furiously.
That son-of-a-b*tch! He had actually dared to sell her to another man!
“Wenxin, what are you doing?” asked Shen Jiayu frantically, shocked by her actions.
“You have the gall to ask me?! You sold me to another man!” Song Wenxin shouted, still brandishing the cleaver. If murder was not a punishable crime, she would have loved to chop him into pieces right there and then!
In fact, she had known all along that this man was a jerk, but she had never imagined him to be that big of a jerk.
Hearing what she had just said, Shen Jiayu was stunned and looked puzzled for a moment. Then, he seemed to have recalled something, and his face turned pale.
