“Elsia.” He said my name softly. His blue eyes were fixed on me. “Make yourself at home, here.”
“Ah— Yes.”
“And I’ll see you more often.”
“What?”
He replied as if it were obvious.
“Me.”
He also seemed to express his will to constantly keep his eyes on me. Niel also said that every day was different and he used to observe me every day, so it seemed to be in the same vein.
“However, why did you bring ‘that’?” That’s what Ixion said, and, surprisingly, it was about Niel.
I shook my head.
“But I think it’s still better to be together. He’s someone I need in a different way than the Prince.”
Aiden, who had been sitting quietly, suddenly interrupted.
“Are you trying to compare the Prince with the Wizard?”
“No, it’s not like that…”
“I shouldn’t say this, but the character of the Wizard Niel and the Prince is incomparable.”
I opened my mouth wide.
‘Is it possible to say this in front of the person involved, no matter how much you speak as Ixion’s people?’
Niel, on the other hand, did not appear to be offended. He smiled as he sipped a cup of tea that tastes like water at the same time. “I’m Evgeny as well. Isn’t it normal to take part in the subjugation of monsters in the Marquis of Evgeny?”
I’m sure no one there believed it.
******
“Wow, she has such a great spirit. How can she make such a comparison? ” Aiden murmured to himself. “In conclusion, this is it. She’s confused between Niel Evgeny and the Prince… And now that she’s been to the Wizard Tower with Niel, she’ll spend some time with you.”
“That’s good,” Ixion replied languidly. “Because she gave me a chance, and a chance is better than a total defeat, isn’t it?”
“Uh..”
“If it had been an opportunity, I would have taken it.”
Aiden expected to openly manage to keep him on the lead, but Ixion didn’t seem to mind. He must also consider romance to be a war. He was confident that he would win in the end.
‘The two of them are not normal. No, it’s three.’
Of course, Aiden was once in serious trouble for arguing for a strategic marriage to Ixion, so he is now determined to achieve his will in some way.
“I’m surprised she learned divine magic, by the way.”
“She wants to stay here and not be a bother to us.”
“Was divine magic really that simple to learn?”
“She did say it was possible at the Wizard Tower. Niel is also an excellent teacher.”
“Indeed. I’d like to be given the title of knight.”
Ixion did not immediately kick Niel because he believed in competing fairly in his own way. Didn’t he also teach healing magic to Elsia while bringing her to the monster subjugation site?
The lie that he would join the monster subjugation because he was Evgeny seemed to imply that the listeners were idiots and that he would eventually compete for Elsia.
“But Prince—” Aiden said. “Are you sure you have to do this? What are you lacking in, Prince—”
“I believe we’re done talking about that. Elsia saved my life, and it is my responsibility to keep her safe and happy.”
“Uhm—”
“It’s as if I’m watching the devil attack her and looking at her hand free as I watch her fall for Niel Evgeny.”
There wasn’t much to argue against. Aiden was aware of how many of these stories rang out during Niel’s two-month stay on the battlefield.
“So long as it’s not Niel. Is that something you still have to do, Prince?”
“It would be easier to like someone you once liked again. And—” Ixion continued confidently. “I don’t believe there is a better eye for men than I imagined. I’d rather be with her than fall for some jerk.”
Aiden was about to say something, but then gave up and shook his head to himself.
‘I’d better leave it until you realize it yourself.’

I was assigned to a private barracks and joined the medical staff right away. Naturally, a few days passed. The Marchioness quickly adjusted to her new surroundings by sending necessary items.
I expected her to tell me to return to the Marquis right away, but the Marchioness stayed for a long time and even sent me a letter to help Ixion.
According to Niel, the divine magic used for healing in the world had lost its power a long time ago. Now, few people believe in God, and all that remains of the temple is one in Artise
There is no significant difference between healing magic and medical technology developed by people.
“Oh, you’re hurt again today, aren’t you?”
“It’s nothing, but I let my guard down for a moment.”
Ixion would always show up at my barracks at the same time, with the same symptoms.
There was originally a time when all of the injured people would be treated at the same time, but he personally came to my barracks every evening because he said that going to the medical staff would make everyone uncomfortable.
‘You’re keeping an eye on me every day, right?’
As I used healing magic on Ixion’s scratches and cuts, I began to notice. And he didn’t go out after the treatment.
“It got stuck in the supplies sent from the capital, and I’m not a big fan of sweets.”
There were times in the capital when the latest trend was a sweet snack or a new book.
“I cut it because it was beautiful.”
He used to hold out a bunch of wildflowers in full bloom.
“It’s a moonstone from the devil’s heart. You’ll have to work on the jewels if you return to the Marquis later.”
It used to be one of the most brilliant jewels.
I received it every time because I was curious if this person was being considerate of the time limit, but I couldn’t bear the embarrassment.
“Prince, I guess it’s not as easy as I thought to kill monsters all at once.” For him to come in every day with a minor wound, I said casually. “Every day, I see the prince get hurt like this.”
“Not really.” Ixion replied leisurely.
“Then why do you come every day?”
“I know.”
“And why do you always give me something?”
“I’m just giving it to you because it comes to mind.”
“How can you give such an insincere answer?”
“I’m not sure either.”
To answer the question of why he didn’t know so confidently, it had to be the Prince.
If you’ve ever met someone, you know how difficult it is to respond, ‘I don’t know.’ Then, he muttered to avoid sounding like he was speaking to me.
“I don’t believe I have to come every day like this— obviously, I don’t have to do anything—”
‘What exactly are you saying?’
I stood there dumbfounded, staring at him. He asked slowly as if he had finally come to a decision.
“Young Lady, think about it as well. Please let me know if you know something.”
“Why me?”
“Because I’m not sure, either.”

The Knights of Feltron had a long history of medical staff.
The Knights appeared to be treated by a medical staff who knew them well, rather than receiving magic for the first time in my life.
“My back is on fire. It must be a burn.”
“My sour legs have been acting strangely since last month.”
I used to sit awkwardly among people who appeared to be already friendly. Of course, there were few injured people who came to see me. Everyone seemed to feel a little burdened by my presence, and I used to stand in line in front of other medical staff, talking from a distance.
Nonetheless, even when I was too busy, people came to me as if they couldn’t help themselves.
“I believe I’ve been poisoned, Lady. My ankle hurts.”
“Oh, it is?”
All I could do was cast healing spells on each symptom. It wasn’t a great effect, but it will improve if she gets it on a regular basis. My aptitude didn’t suit me when I tried to act as a doctor who wasn’t even in my place.
I’m also cut out for being unemployed in the corner of my room, which was a dream I never achieved in my life.
‘In Korea, you work to make a living, and here you work just to make a living, well. Essentially nothing has changed.’
I intended to make the original a daily healing piece, but in the end, it was only a survival piece. In any case, nothing in life is easy, so I just accepted it.
When the Knights went off to fight monsters, the medical staff would stay and watch over the injured person while resting in their spare time. It was due to the fact that when the Knights returned from the battle, they became extremely busy once more.
Niel was forced to join a subjugation group and use magic, and I’m stuck with the medical staff with no close friends.
“Lady, please have a cup of tea.”
The medical staff did not treat me as harshly as those young ladies in society did. But they used to look at me with a much more curious expression.
‘Yeah, I think my behavior is strange, too.’
Hostage of the enemy Kingdom, adopted daughter of the Marquis, and now member of the subjugation monster’s medical staff.
“There—”
However, a few days later, I discovered that their curiosity was driven by other reasons. This is because one of the medical personnel has been speaking to me as if she was asking because she couldn’t stand it any longer.
“So, when are you getting married?”
“What? Married?”
“Yes, married to Prince Ixion.”
‘What in the world is going on?’
I took a quick look around. Everyone was behaving differently, but I had the impression that they were paying attention to our conversation.
“Isn’t it rumored in the capital that Prince Ixion has sent you a marriage proposal?”
“That’s correct—”
“He then went to see the Marquis of Evgeny. There was also the Young Lady.”
‘Oh, you didn’t know I said no.’
He came to see Marquis Evgeny before word got out that I had refused. Even Irene, who had been in touch for a while at the tower, didn’t know what was going on and was planning to sing the wedding song.
Only then did I realize how contradictory it was to hear that I had turned down the marriage proposal and had come to terms with the subjugation monster on my own.
“Now— you’re in a relationship, right?”
“….What do you mean relationship?”
“Otherwise—”
With a twinkle in their eyes, the medical staff stated.
“Doesn’t Prince have any reason to come to your barracks every evening when he’s being intentionally injured?”
“W-what?” In surprise, I almost spilled my tea. “What do you mean he’s hurting himself on purpose?”
“The Prince is never harmed by such a pitiful creature. But isn’t he only hurt enough to require treatment every day? Of course, it’s on purpose.”
I couldn’t even respond because I was dumbfounded.
“Well, we’re all for it.”
‘What in the world do you approve of?’
“Everyone is welcome to join our subjugation monsters team. Everyone admires your dedication to service. You take the initiative by learning the magic of treatment yourself, no matter where you go.”
“No— That’s— Ah, I mean—”
“The reason why the wounded can’t go to the young lady is probably because it seems disrespectful to be treated by a body that will eventually become the Prince’s wife— I’ll let you know if it’s bother you.”
I’ve come to know exactly what eyes everyone in the Knights is looking at me.
