“It’s amazing that you’re still calm after being in another world for so long.”
‘I’ve been through a lot more. I was possessed by a cursed body all of a sudden.’
However, I changed the subject because I didn’t have to discuss such matters.
“How about you? When I went missing, I thought you returned to the wizard tower, but why were you there?”
“Everyone was rushing together, so I followed.”
“Didn’t you laugh at me for being a Saint?”
“Oh, yeah, it’s hilarious.” Niel has a sly grin on his face.
“It was a lot of fun, Elsia. I just slurred along with the Knights and enjoyed the sights.”
“Have you seen it yet? How long has the White been around?”
“I was fooling around and arrived late. I didn’t see it.”
‘That’s what he does.’
I snorted at his consistent insignificance.
“Elsia.”
“Why?”
“Your mana seems stable, but I think you need to look at your body a little more anyway. Why don’t we go outside?”
“More?”
Meanwhile, I had the impression that Niel was only observing me as much as he needed to. I’ve always been curious by the flow of mana and the physical changes it causes, but I’ve never thought to pay close attention to them. But now I’m a little surprised because his words are a little different than usual.
“Okay then.” I had no reason to refuse him, so I followed him out to the garden in front of the Marquis. I stopped for a moment and clapped once. Shiny fireflies began to hover around me, gradually spreading warmth. “Wizards are great.” I was overjoyed to be warm, and the little lights were lovely, so I murmured dazedly.
“What’s good?”
Niel held my hand and seemed to be checking something more thoroughly than usual. He muttered in an uncharacteristically sulky voice.
“You need to know what others don’t know, and you need to see everything you don’t have to see.”
“Instead, you know what others don’t know and see what others don’t see.”
I shrugged my shoulders.
“Is it a condition of my body that I am completely unaware of?”
Normally, it would have taken a series of significant public events, such as being fortunate to have met the archmage and the fact that it is uncommon to find a wizard who can be recognized all at once. But Niel remained silent for a while before speaking rashly.
“The flow of mana is fine, but your body is severely damaged. You can’t help but get hurt after being in the other world for so long; doesn’t it seem like you’re getting a lot colder than others?”
That was correct. The night air was too cold for me. It hasn’t really gotten cold yet, but I’ve been getting chills all over my body despite being more bundled up than others.
“You should bring these with you. I’ll attach them to you, so clap if you think it’s too cold. They’ll be there at any time.”
“What is this?”
“Simple flame magic. Even if it’s not a basic solution, it’s better than shivering in the cold, right?”
I looked at Niel, slightly moved. It was because I never imagined he’d be concerned about the subject’s well-being. “I didn’t expect you to be so concerned with research ethics—”
“Research of ethics.” Niel raised his eyebrows. “It’s a matter of basic personality.”
There is no one with a good personality among those who boast about it, but I didn’t think it was wrong.

“Get some rest. Lady Elsia is now safe.”
Aiden advised cautiously, watching Ixion sitting still. Ixion hasn’t been sleeping well so far. The scene that had forced Elsia to escape alone while he slept seemed to keep happening as a nightmare.
“A hundred people, including myself, have all seen it. So relax.”
Ixion remained silent, lost in thought. In a few days, the face, which had been washed properly and cleanly, showed signs of a lack of sleep.
“Of course, the Young Lady is seeing Niel Evgeny now—but didn’t the Prince take the first step?”
He wasn’t paying attention to Aiden’s sly remarks. Instead, he only remembered the endless agony of her absence and the relief of Elsia’s appearance. He thought he’d been saved for the first time when she appeared.
Ixion sat still with his eyes down, silent. The eagerness that lingers after the swirling emotions calm down. Even if she doesn’t need her own reward, why can’t she leave even if her feelings for a man have shifted?
“So go to sleep, Prince. I’m afraid you’ll get too sick.”
What is this frustration he never felt before?
“Aiden.”
“Yes please tell me.”
“I always used to start over when a battle didn’t work out the way I wanted it to.”
“That’s right.”
“How do you start when you want to get close to someone?”
Aiden breathed in surprise. Who does the world’s Ixion say he wants to be close to?
“We need to get to know each other well. Each other. This and that.”
It was obvious who the opponent was. He continued, looking at Ixion, who must be troubled by his current feelings. “Why don’t you do what your heart desires instead of overcalculating, Prince?”
“It’s very important to me; how can I say and act in such a way?”
“Prince, go to bed first; I’m too tired to teach you anything else.” Aiden said, pointing to his forehead.

I brought all of the monster books from the Marquis’ study. Unfortunately, there was little information available about White. It was simply stated that it is extremely irritating to people and that it is best not to touch it due to the sharp thorns.
There seemed to be few people who knew about small objects that were as aggressive or as dangerous as White, although they were well described for large and dangerous objects that frequently cause damage to humans.
“Uhm—”
“Mwa.”
“So who the hell are you? Is cuteness the only characteristic?” White was staring at me with blue eyes on my lap.
I discovered that they are omnivores after asking the kitchen for something to eat, but it was written in the book that ordinary monsters can live without eating anything.
“Are you not going to show me the way back?”
“Mwa.”
“One thing is for sure. You’re not smart enough to understand what humans are saying.”
I sighed shallowly, stroking White.
Because not all books are in the Marquis’ study, I could have found related books if I went to another library. And, as far as I know, the Imperial Library in the capital has the most research materials and books. There was a lot of curiosity about going up to the capital and discovering White’s identity, as well as internal worries about doing so.
“But—”
Heim sipped tea quietly across the mountain of books.
“What exactly are you doing here? It’s my room, isn’t it?”
“I just came to play.”
“Is this how you like to play? We’re not doing anything, are we?”
While I looked through the monster book, Heim was doing his job in front of me. If he was going to do this, I couldn’t understand why he was sitting next to me.
“We’re all together now. I haven’t been with anyone in a long time.”
“The Marquis has a lot of people.”
“It’s annoying to be able to see into the future. I don’t want to spend my time with someone like that.”
“….I see.”
I thought it was good no matter how many times I thought about it.
‘Does he can’t see my future because I am not the owner of this body?’
Nobody believes in Heim, but when I saw him, I wanted to pay him for his services as a fortune teller.
“But I can still hear everyone talking. Sister, have you heard what people are saying about you?”
“Like a Saint or something?” I shrugged. “But I’m not sure how to purify things. And that concept isn’t even mentioned in the books. It’s an ancient record, but how reliable is it?”
“They didn’t know, so they made it up. And it makes sense, right?”
Heim gave me a pretty smile. With a fine line, he almost put it in a white face.
‘You’re such a weak idol—’
Being alive in this world couldn’t be more inefficient.
“What on earth did the Madam think she was doing turning the capital upside down and bringing the Princess of an enemy country?— No one could explain why. But, after thousands of years, it turns out she’s a saint, which is an interesting rumor.”
“Ah.”
I let out a long sigh. It was even more frustrating that Niel was the only one who realized how absurd the situation was.
‘White is following me because I can smell a lot of monsters—’
Of course, when I talked like this with Niel, there was no point in communicating because his uncontrollable laughter made me feel more vulnerable.
“Also, she was injured in the midst of the monsters, but she survived and even changed the aggression of the mysterious monster.”
Regardless of how exaggerated the rumors spread by civilians there, all of the Marquis’ people now believed mythical sounds such as “The lady walked through the demons covered in blood, and the lights were so brilliant that they could no longer attack.”
The fact that I was using divine magic voluntarily in the Knights was also used as evidence.
“Are they going to say something like this?”
“I’m not sure. Because people enjoy sacred stories, the story of God has remained a myth.”
I hate talking about monsters and demons. “The Marquis’ people should be pleased with themselves. Many outsiders get on their nerves by claiming that the land is cursed due to frequent visits from the devil. They’re most likely spreading rumors.”
“Phew.”
I carefully placed White, who was starting to fall asleep, on a cushion on the table. Heim stroked White as if he thought it was interesting, then—.
“Mwa!”
He got a big bite.
