In fact, when I nodded, Luna didn’t say anything else.
“Madam Lindel! I’ll take care of you!”
Instead, Luna’s eyes seem to have gotten darker, but it’s probably because of her mood. It had to be.
With Luna’s help, I opened the door for the first time and went outside.
It was the first time that I had walked out the door so openly since I was trapped in the North Palace.
Because of this, the knights guarding the door looked surprised. But I was also surprised. There has been an increase in the number of knights that I haven’t seen before for some reason.
“What’s the matter?”
“The number of people has increased.”
When asked while looking at the new knight, the knights looked embarrassed.
The answer came back from Luna behind me.
“His Majesty was very angry about Sir Emfester’s visit yesterday. Currently, the boundaries of the North Palace have been strengthened and more new knights have arrived outside the palace.”
I thought it was strange that Shuline suddenly came to me, but he seemed to have disobeyed Lionel’s orders and entered without permission.
Most of the knights admired Shuline, the Swordmaster, so it would have been hard to stop him if someone knew.
In the first place, there was too much manpower used here.
“From today onwards, even Sir Emfester won’t be able to enter. Is something wrong? If anything is bothering you, I’ll get you a new building right away.”
The original knight stood in my way and said firmly.
I saw you whimpering and crying in front of me yesterday, but now you’re pretending to be a fearsome person again.
“You don’t need to call the priest. I’m on my way to see his Majesty now.”
“I don’t know what the reason is, but it’s impossible. Please go back inside now.”
“I have something to tell his Majesty. Get out of the way.”
“No, please go back inside.”
If things continued like this, I would keep repeating the same thing over and over again.
Only Luna and the new knight were restless in our argument.
But I couldn’t step down.
I couldn’t fight an innocent knight so I decided to use my trump card.
“Oh my!”
I grabbed my chest and fell onto the floor.
“Madam Lindel!”
Luna was startled and tried to help me, but she squatted on the floor and didn’t move. The knight was also surprised and bent down after me.
“Are you all right?!”
“Oh, my God! I’m dying! My heart hurts so much all of a sudden! Oh, my God!”
I screamed and wept in exaggeration. I had to do through to pretend to be very ill.
It was a fairly rough performance, but fortunately, they were caught off guard.
‘Found an opening!’
While the three were off guard, I jumped up quickly and sprinted forward.
Those who were leaning down in a slumped position reacted late, and their desperate cries were heard from behind.
“Madam Lindel!”
“Don’t chase after me!”
I was running as if I were a fugitive, but I was forced to remind myself of what had happened after a long time.
It was good to rest because I always lived a busy life, but it was also a day or two.
My heart pounded at the fresh outside air and the wide-open view.
Around the corner of the hallway, I couldn’t see because I was checking the guards behind my back.
-thump!
“Ugh!”
As a result, as soon as I turned the corner, I bumped into someone hard.
Who the hell was it? He was like a solid rock. I was about to fall from the rebound that hit me, but the person who bumped into me pulled my body into their arms.
“Who the hell is this!”
I was still distracted by the shock, but at that moment, a roar erupted behind the person who hugged me.
It was a voice I heard a lot somewhere. But before I realized who it was, the person who hugged me called my name.
He sounded quite embarrassed.
“Lindel?”
“…Your Majesty.”
It was Lionel who was holding me. He was looking down at me with trembling eyes.
As I was embarrassed with eye contact, Lionel’s eyes grew fiercer. Unlike when he called my name earlier, he asked in a cold voice.
“Why are you here? I’m sure you’d only have to stay in that room only.”
Lionel’s eyes turned to face behind me even though he was asking me.
I felt like I was staring at the knights who were chasing me. The atmosphere turned icy cold.
“I guess my order didn’t make sense.”
I tried to sneak out of his arms when the atmosphere was not good.
It was because of the atmosphere, but it was embarrassing to see the numerous ministers behind Lionel.
I suddenly ran like a crazy woman and jumped into the arms of the emperor.
The old lieutenants were all staring at me with their eyes wide open.
The one who stood in front of us was a general, the representative of the imperial faction. The general was quite friendly with me.
The general’s pupils were shaking violently.
‘How embarrassing!’
I struggled to get out of his arms, but Lionel’s hard arm around my waist pulled me in harder.
He didn’t seem to want to let me go.
“Answer me. Why is Lindel here?”
“Your Majesty, for the sins of death–“
“Lionel!”
When the knight knelt, I shouted heroically.
I cut him off to avoid the situation and opened my mouth first. It was not right for an innocent person to be punished because of me.
When I called out the Emperor’s name without fear, everyone swallowed.
Lionel’s eyes turned to me again.
“Just now, my name.”
“I was on my way to see Lionel.”
Lionel, who had been surprised for a while, put on a cold face again. He looked at me with a distrustful look.
“How am I supposed to believe that?”
Did this man live a life of deceit?
At this rate, I felt like I would have a hard time. I also didn’t know if the knights and Luna would be punished.
I had to get over this somehow. Besides, I was on my way to see Lionel in the first place. It was not a lie, so I can be confident in myself.
The hugging position was uncomfortable, but I reached out and hugged him tightly by the waist for my next words.
“I wanted to see you, Your Majesty. You left yesterday and didn’t come back.”
He put his hand against his face as if he were screaming. Of course, there was a bit of self-interest in my words.
But the atmosphere was weird. No matter how long I waited, Lionel didn’t answer.
I thought he was going to say, “Yeah, or what’s this nonsense all of a sudden?” but he didn’t say anything, and didn’t push me away.
In the end, I looked up first because of anxiety. If this offended Lionel, it was also disadvantageous for the story I have to share later.
But everything I said was true. Lionel was looking down at me, beet red.
‘I think he’s happy right now.’
He looked incredibly happy.
