“A talisman?” Rong Jielin’s expression immediately changed. He shouted in a grave voice, “This is a fight between fellow clansmen! You’ve not just used Spirit Weapons, but you’re even using talismans! That’s going too far!”
Rong Yitie loudly replied, “Uncle Lin, we didn’t set any limits before the fight started, so we’re allowed to use anything we want.”
The middle-aged man hesitated for a moment and said, “Uncle Lin, he’s right. Rong Kaixin hasn’t done anything against the rules.”
There was a smug look on Rong Yitie’s face as he said, “Uncle Lin, your side isn’t well-prepared, so you can’t blame it on others.”
Rong Jielin smiled from his deep anger. “How terribly shameless.”
Rong Yitie laughed heartily. He didn’t think this was anything to be ashamed of and instead burst out laughing gleefully.
The middle-aged man looked at him coldly and said in a slow and steady voice, “Yitie, I have been overseeing this Battle Platform for 10 years now, and I have witnessed several fierce fights. But this is the first time I’ve seen someone fight as shamelessly as your son is doing right now.”
Rong Yitie immediately stopped laughing. His face turned very red from anger. His eyes bulged wildly, but he did not say anything.
He hated Rong Jielin and this man to the core. Since his abilities were poorer and he couldn’t do anything about these two, he had no choice but to swallow his pride and exact revenge another time.
On the Battle Platform, Rong Kaixin laughed threateningly and asked, “Did you think you were the only person who knows how to gather spirits? I’m going to let you have a taste of how powerful a Spirit Body Fighter is!”
He flicked his wrist. The talisman immediately burst open.
A human-shaped Spirit Body appeared next to Rong Kaixin.
“Go…”
Once Rong Kaixin gave the command through clenched teeth, the human-shaped Spirit Body dashed toward Rong Kaixuan as if it had become a bolt of lightning.
Rong Kaixuan’s heart trembled slightly. He knew very well how frightening a Spirit Body Fighter could be.
It was hard to kill or even shake off one. They were a headache for even Advanced Stage Martial Artists, so he was going to have even more trouble.
He flicked his wrist and sent a spark out.
When this spark was just released, it rapidly started to increase in size. In an instant, this spark had already absorbed a tremendous amount of Spirit Power of Heaven and Earth to form a human-shaped Spirit Body.
Pak!
It was Spirit Body versus Spirit Body. Their fists crashed against each other fiercely.
These two Spirit Bodies looked almost the same from the outside. Since everyone watching were powerful Martial Artists and Spiritualists, they were able to differentiate them from certain fine details.
Fights between Spirit Body Fighters were boring. Even though they were made from a gathering of Spirit Power and had tremendous strength and some sort of fighting skill within themselves, they fought each other very differently from the way humans fought each other.
Spirit Body Fighters had no life within them, they never learned how to defend themselves when they fought.
Right now, these two Spirit Bodies were just fiercely punching and kicking away at each other. While each attack could cause some damage to the opponent, the attacker also ended up inflicting injury on itself.
If two humans fought like this, they would have lost too much blood and been too wounded to continue fighting. But these two Spirit Bodies continued to fight each other and were overly passionate about attacking one another.
Rong Kaixuan breathed a sigh of relief. He glanced at Rong Kaixin and started thinking about how he was going to defeat Rong Kaixin.
Even though he had managed to dodge Rong Kaixin’s onslaught of shadows from his fists earlier, it didn’t mean that he could ignore his opponent’s ability as a Middle Stage Martial Artist and that powerful Spirit Weapon of his.
It seemed like one Spirit Body Fighter wasn’t going to be enough to defeat the other party.
Just as Rong Kaixuan was thinking about whether he should evoke a second Spirit Body Fighter, Rong Kaixin let out a strange chuckle. Rong Kaixin reached into his shirt again and pulled out another identical talisman.
Rong Kaixuan’s eyes widened. He nearly puked from how upset he felt.
Using a whole pile of Spirit Body Sealing Talismans against his opponents was what he had always dreamed of doing, but he only had one such talisman. Rong Kaixin seemed to have more than two on him.
“Go to hell!”
Rong Kaixin cursed at him and tore the talisman open.
Another Spirit Body Fighter appeared and started dashing toward him.
Rong Kaixuan sighed quietly. He couldn’t hold back anymore. He flicked his wrist to cause a spark to glow on his fingertips once more. A second Spirit Body Fighter appeared next to him.
There were now four Spirit Body Fighters fighting each other on the Battle Platform. Rong Kaixuan and Rong Kaixin stood far away and didn’t dare get close to them.
Rong Kaixin’s eyes widened as he made a face. He reached into his shirt one more time and pulled out another talisman.
A third Spirit Body Fighter instantly appeared and dashed toward Rong Kaixuan with heavy footsteps.
Rong Kaixuan smiled bitterly. The mysterious energy within the little ball that was between his eyebrows was only enough for him to evoke three Spirit Body Fighters. That was really his trump card, but he already had to use it.
He waved his hand. A bright glow appeared. There were now three pairs of Spirit Body Fighters fiercely attacking each other.
Wang Xiaoxiao was in a daze when she saw this. She murmured to herself, “Three Spirit Body Fighters… Is he really an Elementary Stage Spiritualist who just grasped the use of Spirit Power? This is… This is really a heaven-defying gift.”
She suddenly felt a terrible sense of defeat and failure.
Even though she had witnessed how special, powerful, and limitless Rong Kaixuan’s Spirit Power was for herself not too long ago, she still had confidence that she could still fight him.
After she saw these three Spirit Body Fighters appear, it felt like someone had splashed the confidence she had in her heart with a huge tub of cold water. Even though she didn’t want to admit it, she knew that this young man was going to achieve much greater things than she would in the future.
Rong Jielin was at the bottom of the platform watching with wide eyes and a tied tongue.
He suddenly spun around and whispered, “Yiyang, are you sure that Kaixuan didn’t cultivate Spirit Power a month ago?”
Rong Yiyang gave a bitter smile and replied, “Father, do you think I wouldn’t know my own son? Before this, he didn’t even know what a Spiritualist was. How could he have cultivated any Spirit Power?”
Rong Jielin glared at him angrily and snapped, “Your judgment is always so poor. That is why I don’t believe you.”
Rong Yiyang was taken aback by that and became angry. However, once he remembered how his son had achieved nothing while he was the one training him but suddenly blossomed after coming back to the family, he immediately shut his mouth.
Perhaps his father was right. Perhaps his judgment was really poor.
Rong Jielin looked back. There was both joy and conflict in his eyes.
Rong Kaixuan was incredibly gifted to be a Spiritualist, which was certainly worth celebrating. At the same time, he also had the heart of a Martial Artist. It would have been a terrible waste if he chose to give up Martial Arts.
He had never been in such a dilemma before.
Should this child choose to be a Spiritualist or a Martial Artist? Which path was right for his future?
Rong Kaixin’s heart was pounding on the Battle Platform. He was also very fearful. He pulled out the last talisman he had on hand and flung it out. He decided that if Rong Kaixuan could evoke a fifth Spirit Body Fighter, he was going to run away from this place regardless if that meant going against his elder brother’s wishes.
Rong Kaixuan scoffed quietly and clenched his teeth as he also pulled out the one and only Spirit Body Fighter talisman he had.
With a flick of his wrist, there were now four pairs of Spirit Body Fighters attacking one another on the Battle Platform.
Rong Kaixin’s eyes lit up. He gleefully said, “You’ve used up all your Spirit Power and can’t evoke anymore!”
Rong Kaixuan scoffed coldly and asked, “Do you have any more talismans?” He told himself that if Rong Kaixin took another talisman out, he was going to admit defeat.
It was just a matter of pride if he lost. It wasn’t worth putting his life on the line for.
Rong Kaixin’s face muscles twitched a little as he shouted back, “I don’t have any more talismans on me, but I want to see where else you think you can go!” He took large strides toward Rong Kaixuan.
The Battle Platform was fairly large. Since there was a pair of Spirit Body Fighters thrashing it out in all four corners, there wasn’t that much space left for the two of them to fight.
Without the space to dodge an attack, it could have proved fatal to the one on the losing end.
The glow around Rong Kaixin’s fists sparkled with a yellow light. After he gave a fierce shout, another onslaught of countless shadows was unleashed and covered Rong Kaixuan.
This time, Rong Kaixin had put in everything he had. Each punch was vicious and could prove fatal.
Rong Jielin’s expression changed as he angrily shouted, “This is not a friendly exchange anymore! He’s trying to kill Kaixuan! Stop it right now…”
The middle-aged man quietly said, “Uncle Lin, please don’t be anxious. Your grandson has not admitted defeat yet.”
Rong Jielin glared hard at him. There was a fierce glint in his eyes. He was about to go up to stop this fight when Rong Yihe suddenly said, “Father, look…”
Rong Jielin stopped himself and looked back at the fight. After a few moments, his worried heart calmed down.
Rong Kaixuan’s eyes were slightly narrowed, and he was calm. He looked like he had fallen into a very strange universe. His footsteps were light and seemingly unstable. His body swayed from side to side like a flower in the wind as he easily avoided the countless shadows that were coming at him.
The shadows were very powerful, but they didn’t pose any danger if they didn’t hit anyone.
After about 15 minutes, Rong Kaixin was panting heavily.
He was only a Middle Stage Martial Artist. Even though he had more True Qi than Rong Kaixuan, it was too tiring to keep using a Spirit Weapon for too long.
“Ha-ha!” Rong Kaixuan suddenly shifted and dodged the last of the shadows. He looked back at his opponent with a strange smile on his face.
Rong Kaixin was panting heavily, and his face was all red. Just before he could launch another attack, he suddenly felt that the air around him had become very eerie.
He looked around. His first reaction was shock. After that, a terrible fear overtook his heart and overwhelmed his entire body.
He hadn’t noticed when it happened, but the fight between the Spirit Body Fighters had stopped.
Out of the eight Spirit Body Fighters that were on the Battle Platform earlier, four of them had disappeared. The remaining four had surrounded him.
At this point, it didn’t take a genius to know whose Spirit Body Fighters these were.
There was a cold murderous intent in Rong Kaixuan’s eyes as he sent his will out to the Spirit Body Fighters.
Rong Kaixin was so frightened that he felt his soul leave his body. He had a change of heart and quickly shouted, “I ad—”
Before he could say that he admitted defeat, the four powerful Spirit Body Fighters threw a punch out at the same time.
Bam!
There was a huge blast as Rong Kaixin’s body was hit hard by four powerful forces. It was as if four huge hammers had come down on a piece of pork, causing blood and flesh to fly all over the Battle Platform. It was a terrible sight to behold.
“Xin’er, no!”
Rong Yitie’s eyes turned bloodshot as he roared out in despair and rushed toward the Battle Platform.
