King of Perspective Vision - Chapter 3
Chapter 3: Small Test (1)
After roughly understanding the abilities of the Eye of Insight, Cui Hao was curious about his background. He was curious. Who exactly were his parents? Why did they leave behind a mythical and mysterious bead?
Perhaps he would never know.
He had lived in an orphanage since he was young. Lacking food and clothes, he had always been gaunt. After being beaten up by those rogue hooligans, his body was filled with unbearable pain.
He soon thought of something. He used his consciousness to direct the golden light to circulate around his body. Very quickly, the light seeped into the depths of his veins, disappearing without a trace.
Like this, Cui Hao continued using the mysterious bead locked around his neck since birth.
The golden light wrapped his body whole, then, quickly healing him. In a matter of moments, all his hidden injuries were treated. He was pleasantly surprised to discover the golden light that seeped into his skin, seemingly strengthen his strength.
His whole body brimmed with energy as if he had a sort of endless supply of energy. This caused Cui Hao’s ambition to rise. He made up his mind that when the time was ripe, he would teach those damned bastards a lesson.
Cui Hao got up from the bed and headed to ATM machine to withdraw money to pay for the medical treatment. However, after looking at his wallet, he gloomily recalled his salary card had always been in Zhao Hongyan’s hand. The 17,000 yuan he had painstakingly accumulated for several years should have long been taken away by her, right?
Smiling, self-deprecatingly, Cui Hao walked out of the room. He pondered for a moment, thinking of a way to solve his predicament.
33 yuan was not enough to pay for the hospital’s expenses. However, with the ability to see through things, earning money suddenly was no longer that difficult. This sort of business was popular in Jiangzhou City. There would be people who found themselves becoming rich overnight due to this. But the streets where that laid in was too far away. He could not afford to travel there right now. He would probably have better luck going to the lottery station.
Walking out of the bustling hospital, Cui Hao looked at the crowd full of men and women. His heart moved. He was once like them, an ordinary member of their group.
Within the lottery booth, a few middle-aged men were researching the lottery performance while the boss was dead, bored out of his mind.
Cui Hao took out 30 yuan and said, “Boss, I want three lottery ticket’s worth of luck.”
Seeing business had come in, the boss hurriedly took out a stang of food and snacks for Cui Hao to choose from.
Cui Hao’s Eye of Insight opened again. He flipped through every page, looking at the numbers on the reward board. This type of greyish lead was said to be a high–tech item, but it wasn’t too tricky for Cui Hao. He could clearly see the numbers behind the greyish lead.
“This one, this one, and this one!”
Flipping through them, Cui Hao took out three pieces. Each piece was worth at least a 100 yuan, which made it the biggest prize in the batch.
Scratching the ticket away, Cui Hao smiled gleefully. Three red tickets in his hands… Life is like a dream!
“What? All three are 100?!” The boss shouted in surprise.
After cashing in the boss said, “Brother, your luck is good today. Why don’t you try out the bigger fish? We have some here! The highest you can get is five million!”
Cui Hao knew what the boss was thinking. He too had the same thoughts in mind. 300 yuan was not enough to pay for the hospital fees. He would have to gamble more to resolve the urgent matter.
Cui Hao smiled and nodded, signaling the boss to play the larger prize. The commotion attracted a few middle-aged men studying the lottery tickets. They quickly surrounded Cui Hao.
Cui Hao’s expression was as calm as still water. He casually played with his fingers and discovered a few good scraps… About 300-500 yuan, but he remained calm and collected. Suddenly his hand trembled, a number of lottery tickets made his heart beat faster.
Five thousand!
Trying his best to remain calm, Cui Hao pulled out one ticket, casually saying, “I still have some things to do, so I’ll just buy this one and try my luck.”
After he finished speaking, he handed over 50 yuan and began scraping the one ticket he pulled. Five thousand! When the number appeared, everyone, including the boss yelped in surprise. This kid’s luck was heavenly-defying!
Cui Hao didn’t want to reveal his secrets, so he pretended to be shocked. He laughed awkwardly and said, “Boss, hurry and pay up! I wish you a prosperous business!”
Walking out of the lottery station, Cui Hao already had 5,253 yuan in his pocket, enough to pay for the hospital fees. He was in a good mood, feeling a bright future approaching him.
Just he walked out of the clinic, he suddenly caught a glimpse of a short, mischievous man not too far away. He put his hand inside a grandma’s bag, who was carrying a basket of eggs.
“A thief! Auntie, that man is stealing your money!” With a loud shout, Cui Hao rushed over.
Having lived in an orphanage since he was a child, Cui Hao had an intuitive feeling of intimacy towards the poor. He could not just sit by and idly watch the grandma’s hard-earned money being stolen.
“What the fxck!”
