Married To A Savage Duke - Chapter 64-1
Cherryl raised her hands awkwardly so as not to hold a deep-seated Cade in her chest.
Did this man know what he was talking about?
His expression was unusual from the moment he saw her in a wedding dress but the words that came out of Cade’s mouth were strange.
“You’re making an outrageous joke. If anyone hears it, it could be a big misunderstanding.”
“If I say that I’m not kidding, will you run away again?”
Cade embraced Cherryl tightly and her body shook. Perhaps, the strength he had used to contain her was too overbearing. Sometimes he tended to push himself hard. If she just accepted it as it is now, time would pass without a hitch, and maybe…
Cherryl slipped under his grasp. The Duke’s body felt very hard under her squirm.
“My Lord.”
He was silent when she called him, so she urged him in an urgent tone.
“You have to go down quickly to attend the reception. Everyone will raise their eyebrows if the bride and groom are away for a long time.”
Looking back, she saw many people heading somewhere as soon as the wedding was over. The scene where the men and women dressed in robes moving quickly looked as if they were imaginary flowers blooming in an instant. As Rosaline had already misunderstood that the two already shared the night, Cherryl had hoped that others would not misunderstand. Come to think of it, she didn’t see Rosaline today. It looked like she was coming to the wedding, but she didn’t end up coming. During the ceremony, everything was so chaotic. Cherryl was so busy that she could not afford to care for all the other guests that attended, as well as the princess. On the other hand, there was no way that Marquis Milrose or Natasha would be absent, so she was sure that she would be somewhere in the banquet hall.
Cherryl pushed aside unnecessary thoughts and shook the shoulder of the man in her arms.
“This is not the time. More than two hundred guests are waiting in the banquet hall.”
A meaningless rebellion ensued. Thinking that it should not be pushed out with force, Cherryl slowly raised her hand as if she was about to touch the Duke’s head. She breathed satisfactorily as if the contact felt good for her.
“You can leave if you want to, but I have to change my dress and fix my makeup.” Cherryl told the duke, “But why are you hugging me harder? We can cuddle as much as you want later, but you should let go first.”
All Cade wanted to do was bury his face in her fragile body and enjoy her scent and warmth for a long time. Then, he suddenly felt a sense of surprise. Wasn’t there a similar conversation both of them had on the day he spent the night in her bedroom for the first time with Cherryl? Cherryl didn’t like the fact that anyone but could see the two of them hugging each other so she tried her best to dissuade him at this exact moment and do it to his heart’s content only when the two of them are alone. At that time, whatever she uttered in impatience ignited the lust that he had barely tried to repress and control. Cade won’t listen to her. If there was any difference made, Cade would not leave her alone today. Cade glanced at the woman in front of him, and he saw her darting her eyes toward the door.
“You must not repeat what you just said.”
“How can you hug a person so hard?” Cherryl shot back, “I think I’ll die from suffocation because of you.”
“Don’t even think of running away.”
“Ah…alright. Let’s hurry up!”
Cherryl shook his shoulder using both of her hands, offering only confusing words. After urging you should let give in. As Cade stepped up, they made eye contact and their eyes widened. A deep shadow was cast over her face, and a soft touch was briefly attached to his forehead. Something fell. A series of movements came in naturally as if nothing happened.
“Shall I wait outside the bedroom while you get ready?”
At the tender question, Cherryl shook her head. Even if they are not in the same space, guests still didn’t know about the whole situation. What would everyone say if the bride and groom won’t show up?
“The reception won’t start unless even one of the main characters goes down. You’d better talk to your guests.”
“Then I’ll go down first. I will deliver the medicine through the servant, so don’t forget to apply it.”
“Okay. See you at the reception.”
She smiled at him as she left the bedroom, fiddling with the fabric with her heart fluttering.
Looking down at the floor filled with scattered transparent jewels, she pulled the rope and called the butler.
