Mr. He’s Daily Affections - Chapter 46
Chapter 46: He Was More Like the Bully
“Yeah, I know you’re not.” His throat moved a little as he caressed her hair. “I just could not help myself earlier.”
Su Zhixi felt her cheeks heat up when she heard the man’s voice.
She should have been upset, and she should have reprimanded him. But she could not get angry as she looked at his eyes.
Conversely… her heartbeat was getting faster.
“Young Master He, what are you doing here?” she asked with a cough.
“What do you think?” The man laughed.
Did he come especially for me?
“You’re right.” He Jingyao looked at her deeply. “You didn’t leave the school for a few days. If I weren’t sure that you were fine, I would have gone looking for you in your school.”
“I… I’ve been preparing for a competition,” Su Zhixi explained subconsciously.
“Yeah, I know.” He Jingyao felt his heart itch as he watched her dazed manner.
The woman looked much better after these few days that they had not seen each other. Her cheeks were rosy, and she seemed energetic.
His fingers twitched, and he regretted stopping earlier.
Su Zhixi felt her body heat up from the man’s gaze. She moved her eyes away and looked at the bottle of wine that He Jingyao had placed on the table, unbeknownst to her.
“Oh, right, thank you for the red wine. Are you going to get in trouble because of this?” she asked worriedly.
Even though Ning Yichen was a good person, he had his pride as the young master of the Ning family. There was no way he would remain unmoved once he found out Young Master He was behind it.
“You’re worried about me?” He Jingyao’s eyes darkened.
“I’m just asking… Just asking…” Su Zhixi said warily.
He Jingyao could not help himself and laughed out loud. “Don’t worry. Do I look like someone who can be pushed around?”
Su Zhixi shook her head hurriedly. Given how shameless Young Master He was, he would probably be the one bullying others!
“Besides, Ning Yichen’s position in the Ning family might not be that stable.” He Jingyao’s tone was a little cold.
“What’s going on?” Su Zhixi asked hurriedly with widened eyes.
“It seems like you’re really concerned.” The man’s eyes darkened when he saw that she had grabbed his sleeve out of concern for Ning Yichen.
“No, not really.” Su Zhixi laughed awkwardly. “I’ve been waiting for him to get in trouble. If he’s in trouble, Su Lianxi would lose her supporter.”
“Really?” He Jingyao narrowed his eyes.
“Really!” Su Zhixi nodded sincerely.
No matter the reason Young Master He was so fixated on her, Su Zhixi did not want him to know about her feelings for Ning Yichen.
After all, that was her future brother-in-law.
“That’s good.” The man nodded in agreement. Perhaps she had not gotten over Ning Yichen yet, but it was okay, since he was patient.
“Young Master He, I should get back to my dorms,” Su Zhixi said with a troubled expression after she glanced at her watch.
She carefully observed the man’s expression.
“Jingyao,” the man said suddenly.
Su Zhixi paused.
“In the future, just call me by my name.” He held Su Zhixi’s hand. “If you do that once, I’ll let you go back to school.”
Su Zhixi’s cheeks turned crimson. “Jingyao,” she said meekly.
“I can’t hear you.” He raised his eyebrows.
“Jingyao… Ow!” Su Zhixi called out the man’s name again, but little did she expect that the man would sneak a bite on her lips.
She touched her lips as she looked at the man.
