Chapter 23 Mistress
On the other side, four people in their forties or fifties also came down from the elevator. They hurriedly ran in the direction of Bailey and the others.
However, when they saw Bailey, the four of them immediately stopped in their tracks and looked at her in shock and panic.
Those four people were Julia and Xavier’s parents.
The three groups of people looked at each other in confusion. No one spoke for a long time.
Zachary’s voice sounded in Bailey’s ear. “What do you think? Is the scene big enough? If not, your cousin’s classmates are finishing their songs at the karaoke below. They’ll be here soon.”
The corners of Bailey’s mouth twitched slightly. Zachary was really ruthless.
Bailey took a deep breath and revealed a puzzled expression. She asked in confusion, “Second Uncle, Second Aunt, Uncle, Auntie, why are you here together?”
The four of them looked at each other in panic. They were so nervous that their palms were sweating. This was because they had all received a message that said Xavier and Julia were hanging out in the hotel.
Lynn wanted to find an excuse, but she couldn’t find one for the time being. She could only stutter and say, “That’s right. Uh, I want to come and take a look at the decorations of this hotel with your second uncle. Hahaha!”
Sunny instantly smiled and teased, “Uncle, Auntie, you’re already so old, yet you still go to a hotel to seek excitement. Your relationship is really good!”
Instantly, the surrounding young people laughed.
Looking at Matthew and Lynn’s expressions, and their faces which had already turned the color of pig liver, Bailey could not help but secretly laugh in her heart. She wished she could give this kid, Sunny, a thumbs up.
Bailey’s expression remained the same as she turned to look at Xavier’s parents, Harry and Cindy and asked curiously, “Uncle, Auntie, are you also here to see the decorations of this hotel?”
Rustling laughter instantly sounded from the side, making Harry and Cindy lose their composure. They could not help but criticize what kind of bullsh*t reason Lynn gave.
Cindy smiled awkwardly and said, “Your uncle and I did want to see the decorations of this hotel. Aren’t you and Xavier getting engaged? If your relatives from our hometown are here, they have to find a place to settle down, so we came to take a look. What are you doing here then?”
Layla snorted and said disdainfully, “Bailey has already broken up with your son, so why are they still getting engaged? We’re giving Bailey a single party today, right, everyone?”
The group of young people who were watching the show immediately agreed in unison, “Yes!”
Cindy was a little embarrassed. She said loudly, “Bailey, Xavier’s heart and mind are filled with you. He loves you so much that he can’t extricate himself. You know this. It’s a fight between young couples, they’ll make up when they are back in bed. You’ll be fine in two days.
Don’t be so impulsive.”
Cindy wanted to remind Bailey that she and her son were a couple.
Layla instantly raised her voice and said impolitely, “Old witch, don’t spout nonsense! What do you mean that they will reconcile in bed? Bailey and your son are innocent. They haven’t slept together and have nothing to do with each other. If you continue spouting nonsense, I won’t be polite to you.”
Bailey looked at Layla, who was protecting her, and her heart warmed. In her previous life, Layla had also tried to persuade her a lot, but she didn’t take it to heart. Later on, the two of them had a big fight because of Xavier and Julia. Layla was so angry that she went overseas to study.
Sunny also chimed in, “Well said. I hate old antiques who try to threaten others with a girl’s innocence!”
Although his good brother Zachary and Bailey were not on good terms, no matter what, he, Sunny, and Bailey were classmates from the same class since they were young. They still had some friendship as classmates, so he naturally helped Bailey.
The few middle-aged men at the other end of the corridor were a little embarrassed because their rooms were those around Bailey and the others. If they wanted to enter their rooms, they had to walk over them. However, the situation there seemed to be a little off.
However, it was not right to stand there just like this, so someone boldly went forward and immediately said politely, “I’m sorry, our room is here. Can you please make way and let us in first?”
The people around Bailey did not say anything. They just started to retreat nonchalantly, preparing to make way. The middle-aged man in the lead smiled and thanked them. “Thank you.”
