An indefinite gloominess brushed underneath Gu Zhishen’s eyes, his thin lips holding in a sneer. “Push away? Yun Jianyue, if you were a man and a woman threw herself at you on her own and took off all her clothes, could you refuse?”
Yun Jianyue stared blankly. Because he couldn’t refuse her, he obediently allowed her to forcefully take him without putting up a fight?
“Beast!”
Gu Zhishen’s complexion sank. “What did you say?”
The vicious aura on his body immediately made the temperature in the room go up by quite a few degrees. Yun Jianyue’s heart trembled. She blurted out, “I’m scolding myself as a beast! How could I do something so beastly to President Gu?”
Forgive her for being so terrified. It couldn’t be helped that Gu Zhishen was a tiger and she was only a small little lamb! The difference in battle effectiveness would turn her into mush within minutes.
Her answer seemed to satisfy him. His tensed silhouette relaxed and the hand pressing down on the chair’s armrest lifted up, and he touched her little head as if touching a pet. “You were able to quickly self-reflect and admit your own wrongdoing. Your political consciousness is very high. Relax; as long as you take responsibility for me, I’ll forgive you!”
Yun Jianyue didn’t say anything.
Comrade Gu Zhishen, can you be any more shameless!
Even if she drank too much and took the initiative to be forceful, the reason for the result was also that he didn’t resist! How could he push all of the wrongs to her to bear?
“Even if that’s the case, it’s not like it was your first time. How can I take responsibility? I didn’t even ask you to take responsibility for me…”
She lowered her head and muttered softly while pinching the corner of her clothes. Gu Zhishen didn’t hear her clearly. He raised his eyebrows and asked, “What did you say? Say it louder!”
“I said, it’s not like it was your first time. What respon…” She lifted her head and welcomed his clear and burning gaze. Yun Jianyue’s heart trembled and her voice stopped abruptly. She immediately lowered her head to avoid his gaze.
The bones on Gu Zhishen’s fingers were very distinct. They suddenly pinched her lower jaw and lifted it up, forcing her to look at him. His lips got closer and were just a little bit away from touching her lips. “Who told you it wasn’t my first time?”
What?
Her clear pupils widened in disbelief as she stared at Gu Zhishen. She suspected she’d had an auditory hallucination.
What he meant was before he did that with her, he was still a…virgin?
My God!
If Gu Zhishen’s admirers knew this, she would probably become a hornet’s nest by each one of their gazes.
But…
Could it be possible it was his first time?
Yun Jianyue was at a loss and nibbled her red lips with her teeth. Her gaze swept over the lower part of Gu Zhishen’s abdomen. She’d heard Darling Zu say that men who were still virgins over the age of twenty-five were either gay or impotent.
“No matter what kind of dirty thoughts you have in your head right now, immediately stop. Otherwise, you’ll have to take responsibility for the consequences!” Gu Zhishen saw her eyes sweeping toward his crotch area. From looking at the changes on her egg-shaped face, he could guess she definitely wasn’t thinking anything good about him in her little head!
This little lady never seemed to operate on normal logic!
His fingers exerted strength, and it hurt so much that Yun Jianyue couldn’t help but let out a tsk and frown with her black eyebrows, “It hurts!”
Gu Zhishen looked at her lower jaw and saw the area around the skin that he pinched was all blushing red. Helplessness swept over his eyes. Her skin was really so fragile and sensitive that it turned red from a touch.
He withdrew his hand, turned around, and went to the clothing rack to get a jacket. “Accompany me somewhere!”
“Where?” Yun Jianyue asked unconsciously.
Gu Zhishen didn’t answer and only gave her a stern gaze. Yun Jianyue was immediately defeated, and she obediently followed him out of the office.
Gu Zhishen’s driver’s name was Xu Shi. They got in the car, and he didn’t need Gu Zhishen’s order. After Xu Shi greeted Yun Jianyue, he started the engine on his own initiative. The car quickly drove out of Bo Lun’s basement parking lot and went onto the main road.
Yun Jianyue and Gu Zhishen were sitting side by side, but it was as though there were a galaxy between them. She was on this side of the galaxy, and Gu Zhishen was on the other side of the galaxy.
While on the way, Yun Jianyue didn’t stop calculating, trying to figure out what to say that would make Gu Zhishen agree to go to the Civil Affairs Bureau so that they could change that red book that mysteriously appeared into a green book!
However, every time she thought of a good reason and lifted her head to look at Gu Zhishen and wanted to speak, he would shoot a glance over. It was as if he already knew what she was going to say. Before any of the thoughts she shouldn’t have and the many words she wanted to say went out of her mouth, she would be suppressed by his sharp glance.
Yun Jianyue silently cried in her heart. She missed Yun Siwan, whose whereabouts were unknown, so much. Why did she run away from the marriage when it was going well? Otherwise, she wouldn’t have gotten involved with Gu Zhishen.
And that detestable Su Xu. He didn’t bring up breaking up earlier or later but chose the day of her sister’s engagement to bring it up. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have gotten so upset and went to drink at the bar!
When she thought about drinking, Yun Jianyue already hated all of the alcohol in the world to death. She would never drink alcohol again.
She had only gotten drunk once and mysteriously became Gu Zhishen’s wife. If she got drunk the second time, who knew what would happen!
Just as Yun Jianyue’s thoughts were going wild, the car stopped. Yun Jianyue followed Gu Zhishen out of the car to the elevator. It wasn’t until they got out of the elevator that she realized that they’d come to a hospital.
But why?
Before she could ask Gu Zhishen, he stopped, turned his head to look at Yue Jianyue, and said with a deep and stern voice, “When you go in, don’t say anything. You’re just responsible for smiling and nodding! Remember?”
“Huh?” Yun Jianyue momentarily didn’t understand what he meant. When he frowned and his gaze turned cold, she came to her senses and nodded, “Oh.”
Gu Zhishen saw how lifeless her expression was and didn’t feel at ease in his heart. However, there wasn’t any other way right now. He pushed open the door with one hand and used the other hand to grab her hand while walking in.
Yun Jianyue was stunned and subconsciously wanted to break away from his palm.
Gu Zhishen lowered his head to give a cold stare and Yun Jianyue immediately became obedient and stopped moving.
The patient’s ward was very big. It was a suite. There was a living room, a small kitchen, a dining room, and a bedroom.
Gu Zhishen held her hand and walked toward the bedroom.
The bedroom windows were open and the cool breeze moved the window curtains; it was silent. Sitting on the sickbed was an old lady. Her hair was white and she was wearing reading glasses while reading a book. When Gu Zhishen called out, “Grandma,” a face that had marks given by the years lifted up.
Grandma?
A trace of surprise and panic streaked underneath Yun Jianyue’s eyes. He actually brought her to meet his grandmother. She wanted to escape, but her hand was clasped firmly in his hand.
Grandma Gu Wei lifted her head to look at them. A trace of surprise streaked across her eyes behind her thick reading glasses. She stared with fixed eyes at the lady whose hand Gu Zhishen was holding.
“Grandma, this is my fiancée, Yun Jianyue, who I’ve told you about. We already registered our marriage, and we’ll fix a date for the wedding.” Gu Zhishen introduced Yun Jianyue to Gu Wei and said to Yun Jianyue, “Greet Grandma.”
Yun Jianyue was like a duck forced on a litter. She didn’t want to greet her but had to do it. She couldn’t be impolite, so she smiled slightly and even her voice was trembling. “Hello, Grandma.”
“Hello.” Gu Wei smiled slightly. Her suspicious gaze immediately shot back to her grandson. “I remember the one you mentioned before; this doesn’t seem to be her. I think her name has a ‘Wan’ in it or something.”
