Chapter 50: I Killed You; It Was Her Who Pushed Me
Gu Zhishen and Bai Changan walked out together.
Yun Jianyue rested for a while, and then she took a bath and changed her clothes. When she headed downstairs, Zeng Pei had already prepared breakfast for her. Bai Changan actually had a piece of steak in front of him.
She walked over to Gu Zhishen’s side and sat down, scanning the piping hot steak in front of Bai Changan. She frowned and asked, “You’re eating something so oily early in the morning? Don’t you think that it’s too greasy?”
“Greasy?” Bai Changan raised his eyebrows and laughed as he said. “That’s because you have yet to be starved! I rushed back in the middle of the night and haven’t eaten my meals yet. I didn’t even sleep properly, and I was asked to come over. If I don’t eat steak that was seared by Zeng Pei, it would be grievancing myself!”
After he spoke, he saw the breakfast in front of Yun Jianyue. She had fried egg and grilled sausages and a glass of soy milk. He clicked his lips together and said, “Older Sister-in-law, you’re eating so little. Will you be full? You don’t have to save money for Eldest Brother. Even if you eat a load every day, Eldest Brother is able to shoulder the costs! If you’re not full, how can you have the energy to…at night…”
He hadn’t finished speaking, but Gu Zhishen squinted with his sharp gaze. He was unhappy as he said, “Even eating cannot shut your mouth!”
Bai Changan became quiet before Gu Zhishen got angry. He shrugged his shoulders innocently as he focused on eating his steak. He might have to report back to the hospital.
After they finished breakfast, Bai Changan didn’t wait for Gu Zhishen to chase him off. He was very observant as he dashed away.
Gu Zhishen didn’t say where they were going, but Yun Jianyue had very good chemistry with him as she followed him to go to Bo Lun.
There was a meeting in the afternoon that Gu Zhishen had to attend. He asked Yun Jianyue to stay in the office to rest and ordered Cheng Yufei to prepare magazines, snacks, tea, and other items for her. He was afraid of her getting bored while waiting for him.
Gu Zhishen worried too much. Yun Jianyue was a very simple and peaceful person. No matter where she went, as long as she had the Internet and her phone, she wouldn’t be very bored. She could play games on her phone for very long.
Gu Zhishen’s meeting went a little long, and Cheng Yufei had also followed him into the meeting room. Yun Jianyue was a little thirsty and her cup was empty, so she took her glass and went to get water.
Other than Gu Zhishen’s office in Bo Lun, she wasn’t sure where anywhere else was. She searched for the pantry for a long time but couldn’t find it. She was looking around when she crashed into someone by accident.
“I’m sorry. Are you okay?” Yun Jianyue regained her senses and apologized immediately.
The other party was a career woman dressed in professional work clothes and high heels. She seemed to be around 27 or 28 years old. She had thick makeup on, and her gaze when she looked at Yue Jianyue was filled with hate and irritation!
“Who are you? Don’t you use your eyes when you walk?” The woman’s voice was sharp and piercing.
“I’ve already apologized to you.” Yun Jianyue raised her eyebrows slightly. She didn’t like arrogant people.
The woman laughed coldly and rolled her eyes. “If saying sorry had any use, I’d say sorry to your corpse after I killed you. Would that work?”
Her large, defined eyes widened suddenly. What kind of logic was this?
Yun Jianyue didn’t want to talk to someone without logic. It was a total waste of time, and she brushed past her, wanting to leave.
The woman saw that Yun Jianyue was ignoring her and got even more furious. She grabbed Yun Jianyue’s hand and was extremely livid as she said, “You knocked into me and you’re thinking of leaving so easily?”
“Let go of me. I’ve already apologized to you…”
Yun Jianyue struggled. When both of them were pushing one another, she didn’t have more strength than the other, and she was pushed onto the wall. Her cup knocked into the wall and shattered into pieces. A glass shard pierced her palm and blood flowed out immediately.
The woman saw Yun Jianyue’s bleeding palm and froze. She hadn’t expected that Yun Jianyue would be hurt.
Yun Jianyue covered her bleeding palm and looked over at the other party, as she pursed her thin lips tightly.
The woman regained her senses, and she pretended to be confident as she straightened. She lowered her chin as she told Yun Jianyue, “It was you who weren’t being careful and who knocked into the wall. It has nothing to do with me!”
Yun Jianyue’s gaze went from her cruel face to her panting chest. “You’re a brainless woman with a big chest!”
This woman was probably Lin Yaxin’s lost-long sister.
“What did you say about me?” The woman’s face was livid and was green and pale at the same time.
“You aren’t using your brain properly. Could your ears also not work? I said that you have a big chest but don’t have a brain!” Yun Jianyue had fainted once this morning, and right now, she’d been injured for nothing. Her heart was up in flames. She’d originally just wanted to bear it and forget about it, but this woman was going overboard, and didn’t place others in her eyes.
This was so weird. How easy did she look to be bullied on the outside?
Why did everyone look at her and want to bully her?
It seems that Older Sister was right. Kind people would be bullied by others, and in the future, she should be a little more fierce. Only by being like that would others not dare to bully her.
“You…you evil person. You actually dared to scold me. Look at how I’ll teach you a lesson!”
The woman was furious and her face turned red. She took a step forward and wanted to slap Yun Jianyue, but her fingers hadn’t reached Yun Jianyue’s face when she was easily blocked by Yun Jianyue’s hand.
The woman didn’t expect Yun Jianyue to be able to grab her. She raised her left hand and was about to slap Yue Jianyue’s right cheek.
Yun Jianyue’s right hand was injured and bleeding. She was in so much pain that she was unable to use strength. She watched as the palm came toward her. She was thinking of what she should do to avoid it when…
A large palm suddenly blocked the woman’s hand and pushed. The woman didn’t have steady footing and took a step backwards. She fell onto the glass shards. She howled out in pain.
She didn’t know how Gu Zhishen had suddenly appeared. When he saw Yun Jianyue’s bleeding palm, he raised his eyebrows and looked at the woman on the floor, and he was all sinister and solemn.
His thin lips were pursed together, and he was cold and charismatic as he said, “You were the one who hurt her?”
The woman didn’t expect for Yun Jianyue to actually know Gu Zhishen, and it seemed that President Gu cared about her very much. Her back was covered in cold sweat, and she was so nervous that she didn’t know how to speak.
Yun Jianyue hadn’t expected Gu Zhishen to appear all of a sudden. Her frantic heart became calm, and it seemed as if she wasn’t afraid of anything anymore and had nothing to fear.
Cheng Yufei and a group of people walked over and looked at what was happening. They raised their eyebrows as they greeted, “President Gu.”
“Fire her immediately. She’ll never be employed by Bo Lun again.” Gu Zhishen looked at Yun Jianyue’s bleeding palm. The color in his gaze turned even more sinister. He paused for a moment and felt that it hadn’t been enough, so he added another line. “Send this message out. Anyone in Harbin that dares to employ her will be waging war with Bo Lun.”
Yu Chengfei wasn’t surprised, and he nodded his head to comply.
The woman was shocked, and when she reacted to what was happening, she was already sobbing.
“Don’t…President Gu, I didn’t do it on purpose. She hurt herself being uncareful; it has nothing to do with me!” The woman choked up as she defended herself.
Gu Zhishen’s cunning gaze moved over the ugly face of the sobbing woman and landed on Yun Jianyue’s face, which was pale from the pain. He lowered his volume and said, “Is it true?”
He was asking Yun Jianyue.
The woman was sobbing badly, and her gaze was begging as she looked over at Yun Jianyue.
At this moment, everyone was focused on Yun Jianyue. The future of the woman on the floor could be determined by Yun Jianyue, and they were looking at how she was going to reply.
After a brief silence, while Gu Zhishen was looking at Yun Jianyue, she pursed her thin lips gently and said extremely clearly, “She pushed me into the wall and the glass broke. That was why I got hurt.”
The atmosphere in the air was even colder than the air conditioning, and Gu Zhishen was the center of the cold aura that dispersed quickly.
