- Chapter 48 - Please Don’t Come To The Villainess’ Stationery Store! Chapter 48
A few days ago.
“I have yet to find a way to summon and control the devils.”
“We’re in trouble.”
“But I found an equivalent exchange contract.”
“If it’s an equivalent exchange, do we give the devil what he wants and get power in return?”
“That’s right. We each get what we want. Of course, because of mana, there are limits of the devil’s exposure and how much of their abilities they can show.”
Dominique and I had found a way to stop Viscount Telin and Hildegart through the devils.
I pondered briefly and came to a conclusion quickly. Even if we can’t eat it all, we can taste it.
“Let’s gamble.”
I decided to take my luck for a spin.
“Yes, we can summon the devil with its mana sealed, so it can’t use magic.”
“Good.”
Dominique recited a spell quietly.
Blood red smoke flowed from the magic sword, and soon, a human voice began to be heard.
<I finally came out to the human world.>
“That’s right.”
After Dominique’s short answer, the smoke quickly became a human.
His hair was red and curly, and his eyes were round. It was a small devil that looked like a middle school girl.
“I am the devil of spring, born when the flowers bloomed on a spring day.”
Although the visuals were like a rock, it had such a romantic name.
“I thought you called me to destroy everything! But I don’t have any strength!”
“I summoned you in a sealed state.”
“Eek, what is this after summoning me! I can’t even use my abilities!”
“Sign a contract with me for a while.”
As if it was the first time for such a treat, the face that was indifferent became darker.
“W-what is it that you want?”
Then she quietly sat down. A question mark appeared on my face from her surprisingly pure manners.
‘I’m not confident about the magic, so we have to make a one-time contract.’
Dominique clenched his fists threateningly.
Although it was possible to summon it, it was impossible to believe in the devil in a situation where the magic was incomplete.
“Okay, where’s the slushy?”
”……?”
“Slushy?”
I looked to the side.
Dominique had a face of confusion.
“It’s crazy inside the sword because of the slushy you made.”
Come to think of it, the Winter Moon Devil disappeared with a slushy in a crystal glass.
‘But what about it?’
“Why?”
“That’s the devil’s drink! Because it was so delicious! There was a bloody fight over the last drop…”
The devil trembled as if she hated to think about it.
“How the hell was it made, human?”
“It’s just made with sugar. There’s some left over.”
The devil’s eyes widened.
Seeing her smack her lips, it seemed that she wanted to have a lot of slushy.
‘Well, slushies are like drugs.’
I smiled gently and squeezed the devil’s shoulder.
“Slushy, would you like some?”
“Yes, come to me!”
“Then do what I tell you to do.”
“What do I have to do?”
The devil was caught in my trap.
“Tell me. What exactly are your abilities, devil?”
“Illusions.”
I knew up to that.
“That wouldn’t be all though?”
The devil whispered in my ear.
“It is possible to steal the magical abilities of an object. Although the effects are lowered.”
That’s how I screwed over a useful illusionist devil with slushies.
I stared at the big fluffy cotton candy in front of me.
‘I was only able to get rid of the sensibility side effects contained in that freaky thing.’
In other words, I decided to steal all of the powers from the phantom stones except for nightmares and put them in the cotton candy.
‘From today, we will start operating a new devil factory.’
I laughed grimly and held the devil’s neck.
Reminiscent of the past, I watched the people who bit the cotton candy with a proud heart.
At that time, someone tapped my arm.
“Um…”
A little girl, dressed in a sleeveless deep sea blue dress, spoke to me carefully.
“Where is Mel’s stationery store?”
Finally, I felt the fascinated gaze of the kids toward me.
‘The children are curious about me now.’
About me, about what I make.
“It’s the yellow building in front of the academy.”
I replied with a wide smile to the child who strode over the podium.
The surprised adults quickly regained their composure. But the children’s eyes were definitely on me.
‘Thank you, Lennox and Madame Hildegart, for creating this stage.’
Thanks to them, I was able to spread the word about my stationery store.
I smiled and took a bite of the cotton candy.
A momentary illusion passed in front of me.
A very long time ago on the day of sports day.
In exceptionally good weather, I could see myself running after taking the baton as the last runner.
When my class finally won first place in a sports competition. The cool drinks, snacks, and cotton candy I shared with my friends looked clear.
I rubbed my eyes.
Perhaps because of using a lot of mana, the illusion in front of my eyes disappeared in 30 seconds.
However, the old memories seem to be strong. I also felt like my eyes were a little reddened from the old thoughts.
“This cotton candy will be sold in limited editions at ’Mel’s Stationery Store’ in front of the academy.”
Without forgetting the advertisement, I bowed my head.
It was a perfect finish.
I smiled happily as I thought of a nice sword to give to Carat who couldn’t participate.

Two days have passed since I made my stage at the Petit Debutante.
[<1> Viscount Telin, Found in a Coma at Home.]
[<2> Viscount Telin, Missing.]
I folded the newspaper after briefly looking at the short news.
“Dominique, about Viscount Telin.”
“Yeah.”
“Is he doing well inside the sword?”
“I placed him well. He hasn’t woken up yet.”
The day after the Petit Debutante.
I saved the abandoned Viscount Teln, who was in a coma.
It was exactly the same way Hildegart saved Viscount Telin in their childhood.
Although he was the villain who tormented Meldenique, I couldn’t pretend that he wouldn’t be killed by Hildegart soon.
So, using his sealing magic, Dominique temporarily locked him in the sword.
Viscount Telin couldn’t get out, but Dominique had to move him to a place where Hildegart couldn’t find him.
“For now, let’s put Viscount Telin’s body in the sword and watch him and feed him antidote only until he awakens from his coma. This man is really a piece of trash, but…”
My conscience was pricked whenever I thought about sitting on the sidelines and watching someone die…
Dominic, who didn’t even know my complicated heart, spoke innocently.
“Believe me and leave it to me. Sealing is my specialty.”
I nodded and put the newspaper down.
‘If he survives this coma, he can be a testimony to what Hildegart, Sheria, and Lennox are doing.’
Right now Hildegart would think that she simply lost one of her magicians.
However, Viscount Telin’s role was greater than that.
He also played a role in properly controlling the stupid Hildegart.
“Now that she’s lost Viscount Telin, who used to hold the reins, Hildegart must be going wild right now.”
When I thought of the Hildegart I had seen so far, she will try to sabotage me with all her might.
Without Telin and the brain, Sheria, she was likely to commit stupid acts.
