Please Take Care of the Baby! - Chapter 2
” What the…….. baby?”.
The bewildered voice of senior could be heard in the midst of the bright child’s laughter.
What excuse should I make here?
Should I just say – I woke up in the morning and this baby was sitting next to me?
Will he believe me if I say this?
I’d rather say,
[Senior. It’s my son I’ve been hiding.]
Wouldn’t that be more believable?
Every word seemed so absurd that I couldn’t look at senior’s face.
I looked at the little boy and bit my molars tightly.
“Wooo00000oWooo00000000000oWooo0000000000000 00000000000Wu…….uuuu……
Did he notice that I was getting annoyed?
The little boy who had been laughing all this time shut his mouth for a moment.
With his lower lip sticking out all the way, the little boy who tilted his head here and there, then shouted at the senior.
“Babababu!”
“Be quiet, baby. Are you trying to wake people and say you are here.?”
I hurriedly tried to raise the blanket, but the little boy shook his head and continued to babble towards the senior
“Aww! Hvah!”
“Be quiet. Senior, this is….. It’s long to explain…”
“Yeah, didn’t you say you were on an errand?”
“The thing is I woke up this morning… hah.?”
What is this all of a sudden?
Surprised by the sudden reaction, I took my eyes off the little boy and looked at the senior.
The senior was looking at the top of my head with a somewhat blank expression.
“It’s a long holiday, so it must be hard to run errands in the morning. The stairs are dangerous, so be careful not to fall.”
“What are you saying, Senior?”
“You were here on an errand, so I won’t tell anyone that I saw you here.”
“That……”
“Then, enjoy the festival and see you in class later.”
“Senior.?”
I tried to call him with a bewildered expression and voice, but he waved his hand lightly and turned his back without saying anything.
He walked down the hallway without looking back.
What’s going on?
Is he just pretending not to know?
Or is it just because he doesn’t want to get involved.?
I bet it’s highly the latter.
I put the blanket back on the little boy and ran to the third floor where Felix’s room was.
After walking three floors, I stood in front of Felix’s room.
Taking a deep breath, I knocked on Felix’s door.
Felix’s roommate was left for hometown yesterday, so there was no need to worry.
But why isn’t he answering.?
As I was about to knock on the door a little harder.
“What, at this hour?”
The door opened and Felix came out.
Since he just woke up, his bluish-silver hair was a mess.
“What the hell… Elena.?”
Felix’s expression, which was full of anger, changed the moment he saw me.
His light blue eyes, ferocious like a cat, swept me up and down slowly.
“Do you know what time it is now? It’s Seven o’clock.”
As I watched him questioning me, I suddenly had this thought.
What does the Girls see in this guy.
Why do they keep saying he is a Cool and Handsome.?
I would rather say he is Cold and Handful.
What do they mean, he is mysterious.
He just has a bad character, that normal people doesn’t understand.
But now I have no one to cling to but this bad-tempered friend, so I smiled and opened my mouth as softly as possible.
“Hey, Felix. I have to talk to you about something.”
“ at 7 in the morning?”
“Yes. It’s kind of urgent.”
Felix opened the door wide, folded his arms, and leaned his back against the door.
“So, what is the urgent matter that made you sneak into the boy’s dormitory at 7 in the morning. Did you commit any crime?”
“I did not come secretly… and I did not commit any crimes.”
“You came to say that.”
This punk…
Calm down Elena…..Endure…Endure
“What the hell is that?”
“ Yeah…I came here because of this.”
I carefully lowered the blanket.
Then the little boy raised his head.
“Dadabuu.”
The little boy slapped my face with one hand while shaking his feet.
“Hey… stop it!”
“… what is that child?”
Felix, who was looking at us, asked tremblingly.
“Is that your child?”
…what?
This time, after saying something so ridiculous he kept staring at both our faces.
His sharp blue eyes looked very cold as usual, but today it felt rather severe.
Felix took turns looking at me and the little boy, as if trying to figure out the truth.
Before he could say something stupid again, I hurriedly shouted.
“No!”
“Maamau!”
The little boy also shouted in synchrony with me.
Good job, kid! Even though I don’t know what you were saying.
With the flow I continued explaining.
“Did you ever see me have a big belly.? Or did I suddenly disappear for 10 months to have a baby?”
“No… it wasn’t. then.”
Felix, who had been watching the little boy all the time, touching his chin, reached out and grabbed my hair.
Wha… What is he doing.?
“Isn’t the hair color too similar to say no?”
I looked at my hair in Felix’s hand and the kid’s head alternately with a look of disapproval.
Come to think of it….
The boy also has the same blonde hair as me.
But it’s not the exact same color.
My hair was a striking blonde with a dark gradient, the little one’s was a light blonde.
“What’s the same? I don’t have an unusual hair color like you……. blondes are common. And that kid’s hair is a lighter blonde than mine. Besides if you say it like that, doesn’t his eye color look similar to yours rather than mine.”
“What.?”
I took the little boy close to Felix so that both their eyes could meet.
“Baqaaqqaabu”
But the boy suddenly lifted his leg and placed it on Felix’s face.
Oh….even though it wasn’t intended…..Good job kid.
That should put some sense into that senseless guy.
I took the little boy away from Felix, who was getting angry and continued our conversation.
“How can I have a child, when I don’t even have a boyfriend. Did I make child alone?”
“Babababababbabu!”
The little boy who looked at only me without giving Felix a glance laughed.
We’re talking about you and you’re laughing like this.
The thing that was more absurd was not the infinitely innocent little boy but my friend who when heard my last words saying I didn’t have a boyfriend, nodded his head as if in agreement.
“That’s right.”
I felt fortunate that he believed in my innocence, but on the other hand, I felt an unknown sense of defeat.
He took a while to believe that this child is mine, but in a mere seconds he believed. when I said I didn’t have a boyfriend, without making any arguments.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry
“Come in first. Let’s talk about the details inside.”
I nodded and followed him inside, sincel didn’t want to wake people up talking in the hallway.
The dormitory used by two people consists of a shared living room, a shared bathroom, and two bedrooms.
Since all meals are served in the cafeteria, there is only a small space for keeping simple food and no kitchen for cooking.
“Sit on the sofa over there.”
Felix murmured politely and put two more pieces of wood in the fireplace.
Even if you ask me to sit on the sofa…
I made an impression looking at the rather messy sofa.
The living room used by me and Alice was pretty neat.
But this….
It’s horrible, it was so cluttered that I wondered if it had the same structure as mine.
As if reading my thoughts, Felix came over and took all the clothes that were lying on the sofa and went inside the small room.
I was able to sit on the sofa and put the little boy on it.
“Did you feel uncomfortable?”
“Ewwuiiiui”
I took off the blanket that had been rolled over to the little boy.
“baabu?”
The little boy turned over and looked around, as if he was surprised by the changed scenery.
“Be careful not to fall.”
But the little boy didn’t listen to my words.
“If you fall, you will get hurt.”
He kept trying to crawl, so I finally lowered the little boy to the floor.
Felix came back into the living room with a kettle and a teacup while the little boy crawled on the carpet and explored.
Felix came and sat down next to me.
“I’m out of milk, do you add sugar to the tea?”
“No. I won’t put anything.”
I shook my head lightly, and Felix nodded understandingly, then placed his hand on the kettle.
The pendant hanging from his chest glowed blue.
Soon white steam rose from the kettle.
It was much faster than boiling directly in the fireplace.
It’s a waste of magic.
Unknowingly I clicked my tongue.
Felix crossed his legs with a somewhat arrogant expression on his face and poured the tea from the kettle into the tea cup.
Yeah, yeah. You are the only one in this entire academy who can use magic to brew tea.
I don’t like many things about Felix, but I had to admit his excellence in magic skills.
Not only did he have a high affinity for mana, but his understanding of magical power was much higher than that of any other students and even some professors.
As if that was not enough, his brain was too good, that he casted simple magic without formulas when he was three years old.
He even said that he entered the academy, because the dean of the academy came by himself and requested him to join.
Maybe he can use any magic without formulas now.
It’s an unfair world, a bad mannered boy like him knows everything, while a sweet girl like me could barely understand the theory behind magic.
“Drink this first and warm yourself up. No matter how close we are, the thought of going out dressed like that in this weather, you are too…….bold.”
Felix looked at my clothes and muttered like he usually
do.
I took the warm mug and checked my clothes.
I’m not wearing a coat.
“Ah….since everything was so crazy….that ….”
Before I could finish my answer, Felix glanced at the blanket that I had wrapped the little one around.
“Yeah… After taking care of the little boy. I didn’t have time to think about my clothes.”
I don’t know why I’m making excuses, but the sharp gaze of Felix somehow made me feel embarrassed and I shrugged my shoulders.
I took a sip of the tea, trying to avoid his gaze.
The warm tea that ran down the throat seemed to loosen the frozen body.
“Dadabu!”
Suddenly, the little boy crawled back in front of me and got up on the sofa.
The child reached out his hand towards the mug.
“Little boy, are you thirsty too?”
As I was talking to the little boy, Felix promptly went into the room and brought a mug of water and a small teaspoon.
“So what happened?”
Felix asked, placing the cup down on the table aloud.
“How did…. that happen……”
Felix pointed to the little boy with the teaspoon in his hand and asked for what had happened.
I began to narrate everything.
From the time when I woke up, the kid was sitting next to me, and there was no sign of intrusion.
I came because the only person I thought could help was Felix.
And till when I met with Senior Danny Ann while coming here.
When I finished my story, Felix kept his arms crossed and kept looking at the ceiling.
Then, he turned toward me, met with my eyes and asked.
“Anyone else?”
I was startled, but I continued to answer.
“Alice went home, and no one saw me other than Danny Ann…”
“No, not that, was there anyone other than the little boy in your room.?”
