Skeleton’s Training Manual - Chapter 8
Chapter 8: 008 Trigger Condition

When Lu Wu found out about this profession, he immediately became extremely interested in it.
He knew deep down that this profession was made for his golden finger just like a hot cup of chocolate on a rainy day.
Therefore, he started looking for more books that were related to summoned beast trainer. However, before he could take a closer look at it, his phone rang.
Lu Wu paused for a moment and looked at his phone. It was already eight o clock, and he knew that it was a call from his family.
As soon as Lu Wu answered the call, a sweet voice came from the other end of the phone call.
” Elder brother, why aren’t you home yet?! I missed you!”
Yup, that was the voice of a cute three year old girl, Lu Wu’s younger sister.
When he heard the voice, perhaps he was influenced by his predecessor’s memories; he felt like he was about to melt on the spot. Then, he softened his tone and said, “Be a good girl, Nini. I’ll be home soon, okay?”
He comforted Nini for a while more before hanging up. He had no other choice but to leave the library.
He initially planned to bring the books home to continue studying it but it wasn’t allowed. Any books that were related to summoners could not be brought out of the library. Therefore, he could only push his plans till tomorrow.
On the way home, he didn’t train Skeleton like he did in the morning.
If he did, it would take another 2 hours for them to reach home.
So, he immediately held onto Skeleton’s hand as he started walking back home.
Pang Tutu, who stood next to them, felt jealous when she saw how naturally Lu Wu grabbed onto Skeleton’s hand. She glanced at Lu Wu, gathered some courage and held her breath as she grabbed Skeleton’s other hand.
Skeleton, who suddenly got held, turned around and looked at Pang Tutu with a piece of bone with its mouth. That’s right, it kept looking at her.
Skeleton did not say a single word and had no extra expression, it remained blank as usual while staring at her.
However, Pang Tutu felt pressured instead. She managed to hold it in for a while, but in the end, she still let go of Skeleton’s hand.
Well, Lu Wu unfortunately missed the entire scene.
This was because as soon as he grabbed hold of Skeleton’s hand, his mind was completely distracted by something else.
Just as he finished his thought process and finally managed to hold in the impulse of experimenting with it on the spot, Pang Tutu had already let go of Skeleton. Lu Wu wasn’t even aware of the entire roller coaster scene that happened to Pang Tutu.
Obviously, even if he saw, he wouldn’t care. His entire focus of attention was somewhere else.
Lu Wu walked home as fast as possible while grabbing onto Skeleton, with Pang Tutu next to them.
As soon as he opened the doors to his house, a small figure dashed towards him and was demanding for hugs, kisses and all of his undivided attention.
Lu Wu had no other choice but to contain all the excitement and anxiety in him to play with that little sister of his.
When Lu Wu was playing with Lu Nini, Lee Ruyu walked to the kitchen and made Lu Wu a bowl of noodles.
She placed the noodles on the table and took Nini away from Lu Wu so that he could eat in peace.
Then Lu Wu said, “Thank you.” He did this subconsciously.
However, what he didn’t notice was that when he said it, Lee Ruyu was stunned for a moment and then her eyes suddenly turned red.
However, she got hold of her emotions and replied in a gentle tone, “It’s pretty late already. Go to bed after finishing this bowl of noodles. I’ll take Nini to bed.”
“Okay!”
Lu Wu was not aware of his mother’s change of emotions. He quickly finished the bowl of noodles and brought Skeleton into his room.
Then, he placed his golden finger on Skeleton’s head.
As soon as he touched it, the golden finger started doing its job and Skeleton’s attributes bar once again appeared in front of him.
…
Name: Skeleton
Strength: 0 star (normal)
Quality: Normal (Bad) (Enhance) (One option)
Class: Undead
Status: Tired ( You already trained it for a day. Can’t you just leave it alone for one night?)
Skill: None
Weakness: Light, Fire, Thunder
Comment: Looks like you’ve found a way to enhance the quality of this rubbish.
…
“Fine, you can rest for tonight. We’ll continue tomorrow.”
After taking a look at Skeleton’s attributes, Lu Wu told Skeleton to rest.
Since he wasn’t that horrible of a person after all.
Soon after, Lu Wu paid more attention to the [enhance] button.
The button that was initially grey in colour was followed by an option behind it. This was also why Lu Wu was so excited on his way back home.
He selected the button that said ‘one option’ and an interface appeared in front of Lu Wu.
…
Program for quality enhancement:
Program 1: Skeleton’s Training Manual (Correction) (Once a day)
Effect: Able to slowly increase the Skeleton’s strength and train its coordination.
Time needed for quality enhancement: 888 days
…
“What’s the f**k is this?”
Lu Wu was confused when he saw the interface. The change of emotions came too quickly.
He initially thought that Skeleton had triggered some enhancement condition and something good would happen that he was ready to celebrate, but instead, he saw this?
“Is this page trying to tell me that the manual is effective and Skeleton would be able to upgrade after training for 888 days?”
Lu Wu was disgusted.
88 days was already bad enough and now it’s saying that it needs 888 days. This was bad!
If he failed to upgrade Skeleton by the end of summer break, he could bid goodbye to the special class in final year, and that would make it even more difficult for him to get into any of the summoner’s universities. There was no way that Lu Wu was willing to accept such an illogical program.
However, the one good thing here was that there was a correction option in the program column.
This should be how the golden finger was used!
Lu Wu selected the (correction) option with hope. Then, a notification popped up.
(Would you like to modify the program?)
(Yes/No)
Why was this an option?
Of course, yes!
Lu Wu made the decision without any hesitation. Then, another interface appeared.
This time, it wasn’t an option but an interface to modify the program.
…
Initial program: Skeleton’s Training Manual
Modified Program:
Submit/Cancel
…
This interface was very simple. Lu Wu played around with it and soon figured out how to use it.
“So after all this trouble, I’ll have to think about how to modify it myself?”
Lu Wu thought that he would have to just make some minor amendments to it, but instead, the system was so unprofessional that he had to be the one to modify the entire thing.
Disgusting!
Well, since he had no other options, he had to do it himself.
However, it was easier said than done.
He had no idea what was happening, and after a while, he managed to change the method from chewing on bone to consuming bone powder.
Lu Wu felt that bone powder would definitely be absorbed faster when compared to chewing bones, right?
He also realised that the program could be changed once a day.
Since he had this opportunity, he might as well try it out….
