Chapter 1: Murder Caused By The Headphone

Hujiang City. Li Zhenhua was packing his luggage in the dormitory of the Materials University.
A boy was watching him. He did not offer to help, but reluctance could be seen on his face.
“Zhenhua, have you really decided? Have you really dropped out of school?
Why don’t you reconsider? I have a feeling you’re playing with your future.”
Li Zhenhua’s roommate leaned against his bed and said to him.
“Get up. You’re pressing against my sheets.”
Li Zhenhua’s movements were not affected. He was still packing his things.
Looking up at his roommate’s reluctant gaze, Li Zhenhua couldn’t help but feel a little sad.
“Fang Guo, this is really not something I can decide. Instead of letting the school expel me, it’s better for me to leave on my own. I can’t afford to offend them, so I have to hide from them.”
Li Zhenhua said helplessly. He should have called the police in the first place. He really didn’t expect things to go this far.
“Damn, what a f*cking coward. How did it develop to this point? Is the school also blind?
‘Then it’s not as if you left the lab door open, nothing was lost either. They blamed it on you just because you were the last one out?’
“This pure campus is no longer pure.”
Fang Guo vented his grievances, but there was nothing he could do when he saw his brother drop out of school so dejectedly.
“Alright, let’s not discuss this topic anymore. Perhaps the school has its own difficulties. Now that it’s been suppressed, what’s the use of talking about it?”
Li Zhenhua could not help but feel a little indignant, but in the blink of an eye, he stopped thinking about it. Once he decided, he would not regret it.
“I’m leaving all that I can’t take with me to you. Alright, don’t be sad. Anyway, our hometown isn’t far away. You’re welcome to come and visit anytime.”
After saying that, Li Zhenhua pushed his luggage out of the dormitory door. Fang Guo also helped carry the things.
As the two of them walked on campus, the pedestrians on the road looked at Li Zhenhua. Their gazes revealed countless attitudes: sympathy, indifference and sadness.
“Brother, hold on. Don’t be knocked down by these things. Be strong. I believe it will be sunny one day.” This was a classmate he had bumped into, patting Li Zhenhua’s shoulder to comfort him.
Most of the students had the same attitude, which made Li Zhenhua feel much better.
Li Zhenhua did not let Fang Guo continue seeing him off after they reached the school gate.
After leaving the school, he turned around and looked up at the school gate, chasing the last trace of nostalgia out of his mind.
Li Zhenhua slowly walked to the bus stop with a box in each hand. He sat on a box at the stop and waited for the next bus to enter.
He couldn’t help but think about the magical incident that had happened to him recently. In fact, it was caused by a small matter. He was the last to leave the laboratory. Someone had gone into the laboratory after to look for something. That person didn’t have the authority.
However, to Li Zhenhua’s surprise, after returning to the dormitory for a while that night, he was taken away by the school security.
He had made all the facts clear at the security office, but the person in charge of that area’s security only wanted to find a scapegoat and quickly suppress the matter.
Even though they did not do anything to him, they locked him up in the security office and sent a notice to the school at lightning speed.
The result was Li Zhenhua’s demerit and detention.
The next day, Li Zhenhua came out to find that everything had changed. Everyone around him was looking at him strangely.
After knowing his punishment, Li Zhenhua was furious and posted the matter online.
From there, Li Zhenhua’s nightmare began. His post quickly became a hot topic. The contradiction made the entire school happy, but it didn’t stop there. Somehow, it spread outside the school.
In any case, after a series of operations, the person in charge removed himself and left behind a small fry to be the scapegoat. Li Zhenhua’s innocence was also cleared.
However, later on, his days in school also began to become sad. They made things difficult for him everywhere.
At this point, Li Zhenhua’s guide also came to him. The guide placed three thousand dollars in front of him and advised him to take the tuition money and drop out.
The counselor also told him that because he had posted on the Internet previously, it caused online public opinion to be extremely disadvantageous to the school. Anyway, he was socially dead in school, so he would not be able to gain anything in the end.
Finally the counselor tapped Li on the shoulder and asked him to think carefully.
Li Zhenhua, who had no choice, could only choose to drop out of school. It was not that he did not want to fight to the end, but that he did not have the strength. Now, he was just an ant. No one would see what he said.
With Li Zhenhua’s departure, the campus regained its calm.
Li Zhenhua dragged his luggage and got on the bus that had finally arrived to Hujiang railway station.
Li Zhenhua picked up his ticket at the automatic ticket booth. He looked at the time and saw that there was only an hour left before the bus was due to depart. Coupled with the check-in time for boarding early, he arrived at the station just in time.
After passing a crowded elevator, he finally checked his ticket at the ticket barrier and passed it himself to the platform.
Looking at the train coming from afar, his terrible mood of being expelled finally changed a little. This train was the way home!
This time, Li Zhenhua did not make himself suffer. There was no need for a business seat. He only bought a first-class seat.
After putting away all his luggage, Li Zhenhua finally had time to think about his future in the train.
Li Zhenhua was from Dongshan. He was in his third year at the University of Science and Technology in Hujiang. He could have graduated in another year. He majored in materials science and engineering.
His grades were excellent. He had planned to take the postgraduate entrance exam next year.
He would stay in the school’s research institute in the future, but he did not expect everything to be disrupted by this thief.
‘What should I do when I get home? Actually, I don’t really need this major in a small county.’
He had wanted to take the path of scientific research, but now this path was directly strangled. ‘Sigh, I am so unlucky to have gotten into such a thing.’
He decided to take it one step at a time. He would rest at home for a while.
Anyway, I still have a lot of money. I don’t have to worry about money for the time being. As Li Zhenhua sat in his seat and thought, the train started moving.
Li Zhenhua looked up at the LED display in front of him. The speed on it gradually increased from more than 80 kilometers per hour to more than 300 kilometers per hour.
The view from the window was impossible to make out. They quickly retreated behind him.
He took out his phone and planned to take a look online since he was bored in the train. He mainly wanted to see if the commotion he had caused had subsided.
Just as he was about to open the Duniang forum when it sent him a message. “The various universities will take turns to increase their cut-off scores at the end of the year. A certain medical university…”
“What’s going on this year? Is there an end-of-year assessment?”
Why did they all expose it collectively? It was actually good too. It could be considered as diverting some attention away from him.
Even though it’s a little unkind to say this to the brothers who were affected, sigh, they were all brothers in distress. He did not think that his brother would able to stay in school for long.”
Li Zhenhua muttered to himself emotionally as he slowly fell asleep in the train.
