- Chapter 19-1 - Stuttering Big Boss’s White Moonlight Chapter 19-1
It was a nice, relaxing evening.
Lights shone through the small neighborhood’s gateway; shining against the broad road as brightly as daylight.
In the cold December wind, the beautiful girl raised her sparkly eyes.
Her voice was gentle and soft, saying: “That’s my house, thank you for walking me back.”
Gu Miao lowered his head, trying to cover up his embarrassment, but his red ears exposed him.
The lights were so bright, he knew that he must look ugly.
He still whispered: “Mmhm, thank you for your medicine.”
The tall young man had his head drooped slightly, looking like a little puppy who had made a small mistake, exposing the top of his fluffy hair.
Cheng Chu tried her best to suppress the corners of her mouth from curving up and whispered: “It’s okay, just don’t fight again. You might get yourself hurt, plus you could be punished by the school.”
“Yeah.” The boy lowered his puppy eyes, his tone was filled with reluctance: “Then, I’ll be leaving?”
Cheng Chu nodded.
The cold wind was blowing across the neighborhood, and Gu Miao’s shadow was stretched by the scattered lamplights, and soon disappeared into the silent night of Haishi City.
Cheng Chu didn’t sleep well that night.
In her chaotic dreams, Gu Miao was being punished in all of them.
His usual straight and elegant stature were no longer, with bruises and cuts on his lips, standing on the high podium, reading aloud his self-reflection letter about his wrongdoings.
The frigid December wind blowing against his fragile form.
The people in the audience were staring at him with contempt and disgust.
Life returned to its original state. Gu Miao stopped talking, remain seated in the dark corner of the class, never speaking a word to anyone.
Including her.
The moonlight shone through the window; the girl lying on the bed suddenly opened her eyes.
Although it’s below freezing temperature in December, Cheng Chu was sweating bullets, and strands of moist hair stuck to her sickly pale face. She opened her mouth, gasping for breath.
Her heart was beating like crazy, and she felt the blood in her body turn cold.
This can’t happen, Gu Miao can’t be punished!
The cold wind blew into her room and the wind chimes on the windowsill shook side to side.
In the darkness, Cheng Chu leaned on her pillow; her sleepiness fading away.
She must find a way to make Wang Yan admit his crimes and let Song Xinyu pay the price.

On Saturday morning, Cheng Chu woke up to her ringtone.
In a half-asleep half-awake state, she grabbed her phone and pressed the answer button.
“Chu Chu, are you up? If you’re awake, I’ll let the driver come and pick you up.” Cheng Yue asked.
Sunlight sneaked through the cracks in the curtain, casting a golden light on the white blankets.
Cheng Chu turned over and mumbled: “I’m still in bed, let Uncle Wang come back in an hour.”
“Alright, I’ll tell him.”
After hanging up the phone, Cheng Chu set an alarm to snooze for forty-five minutes and fell back to sleep as soon as she touched the pillow.
An hour later, Cheng Chu grabbed a random coat and a bag and stepped out.
Standing at the gate of the neighborhood was a classy car and the driver, Wang Shu, leaning against the car door. When he saw her coming, he quickly and elegantly opened the door for her.
Cheng Chu bent slightly to get in, only to realize that her mother was also in the car.
“Why aren’t you dressed properly?” Fu Rong frowned: “Didn’t you agreed to go shopping with me?”
Cheng Chu paused, and then remembered that a few days ago, she had promised to accompany her mother to go shopping together on Saturday.
She got into the car and grinned flatteringly: “Of course I wouldn’t forget our plan. I was running out of clothes to wear, so let’s go and buy a few outfits.”
Fu Rong hugged her shoulders and affectionately touched her cheeks, and said: “Oh my! You must have lost weight studying at school. We must make up for it today.”
After a night of nightmares, Cheng Chu was barely awake. She leaned against her mother’s shoulder and slept.
Half an hour later, Fu Rong and Cheng Chu arrived at the mall.
The high-end shopping mall exudes an expensive smell and the heating was on full blast; finally, Cheng Chu’s sleep-deprived mind felt more energized.
The Cheng family owned many businesses, and this mall was one of them.
Every few months, the shops would deliver new products to the Cheng family house, but Fu Rong still preferred to personally shop at the mall.
As soon as they entered a store, the attendant greeted them graciously, serving pastries and pouring tea, acting diligently like they were serving kings and queens.
“”
“Mrs. Cheng, our new products for this season arrived yesterday. Would you like to see them?”
Fu Rong turned to her side and said, “Chu Chu, if you like anything, ask them to wrap it up. I’ll go take a look at the new bag collections.”
Cheng Chu nodded, she took a sip of the tea and flipped through a few pages in the magazines, not finding anything that would pique her interest.
There was no one left in the shop. She looked around and saw a pair of glasses displayed on the shelf not far away.
Under the illuminating light, the golden frame refracted sparkling light.
The attendant next to her quickly approached, saying: “Ms. Cheng, would you like to see the glasses? These are all new products in the store. It’s our bestseller.”
“Yeah.” Cheng Chu stood up, took the glasses frame from the attendant, and squinted her eyes.
The girl casually wore a coat, her black hair draped elegantly on her shoulders; she appeared quiet and gentle.
The attendant recognized that it was Max Mara’s new coat of the year. One coat was worth more than tens of thousands. And on the girl’s body, she wore it better than any professional model.
Cheng Chu held the frame and examined the glasses in her hands.
She couldn’t help but imagine Gu Miao wearing these glasses.
On his elegant straight nose bridge sat these intricate golden-rimmed glasses. He would wear a clean white shirt, with all the buttons securely fastened to the top.
His eyebrows sternly furrowed, his thin lips pursed slightly, and his adam’s apple bobbed up and down.
Abstinence and seductive.
In her previous life, Gu Miao never wore glasses so Cheng Chu never knew that he had bad eyesight.
The teenage boy was always seen with a pair of dull black-rimmed glasses sitting on his nose bridge, covering up his unworldly handsome face.
The sound of high heels hitting the ceramic tile floor sounded in the near distance. Fu Rong walked over, looked at the glasses in Cheng Chu’s hand, turned her head, and waved to the attendant: “Wrap up the glasses that she’s holding, we’ll check out soon.”
“No, I’m just taking a look.” Cheng Chu smiled and handed the glasses back to the attendant: “Thank you.”
“If you like it, buy it. I know that glasses are trending among youngsters like you these days. We can customize it and slightly modify the frame and it’ll look pretty good.” Fu Rong smiled kindly: “What else do you like, I’ll buy it.”
“That’s not necessary, I was just looking around.” Cheng Chu answered seriously.
The logo was engraved on the side of the glasses frame, although it was not obvious, it can still be seen upon closer look.
The things sold by this brand were not cheap, and knowing that the young man has strong self-esteem, he will definitely refuse such an expensive gift.
When matters concern Gu Miao, Cheng Chu is always cautious.
She understands his suffering, sensitivity, and inferiority.
He fought for her, desperately, secretly dealing with dirty tricks and bullying.
He concealed his pain and hardship, never complaining or saying a word.
Even though the current Gu Miao, who is young and introverted, was far from the mature and perfect Gu Miao from her memory.
But he was still Gu Miao.
He was the same boy who hid all his emotions in his heart and had a crush on her for many years.
The sun in the winter afternoon was exceptionally warm.
It was already late afternoon when they got home, and Fu Rong went back to her room to take a nap.
There was no one in the huge villa, Cheng Chu didn’t feel sleepy after having slept in the car for a long time.
With nothing to do, she wandered to her small garden.
Plum blossoms bloomed in the garden, dotted with little red plums among the branches.
Cheng Chu laid on the rocking chair, staring at the sky.
“Hi Cheng Chu, welcome back!”
Cheng Chu’s wandering thoughts were suddenly pulled back to reality by the sudden sound. She looked up and saw Lin Qifeng leaning on the second-floor railing from next door, smiling at her.
With a casual wave of her hand, Cheng Chu replied listlessly: “Yeah, I’m back.”
“I’m so bored. Why don’t you come over, we can talk for a while.”
Lin Qifeng is the most popular boy in school. He’s familiar with almost everyone and there are always people gathering around him. Cheng Chu thought that by asking him, maybe he could help her.
Sure enough, after listening to Cheng Chu’s concerns, Lin Qifeng pondered for a moment and said: “Oh Wang Yan, we used to play basketball together. He’s a specially admitted student for sports at our school. He’s an okay person. I heard that he was a troublemaker in middle school, but not anymore. Though he’s extremely good at any athletic sport. What’s wrong, why are you suddenly asking about this guy?”
Cheng Chu didn’t tell him what happened at school and only asked him if he knew Wang Yan.
“He’s a decent person? Are you sure?” Cheng Chu couldn’t believe that a person who tricked her and spilled ink on her chair is good-natured.
Lin Qifeng scratched his head: “At least from my interactions with him, yeah.”
Cheng Chu frowned, she knew that there was no reason for Lin Qifeng to lie to her.
But if Wang Yan is not a bad person, why would he do such a malicious act? Why would he be so obedient to Song Xinyu’s words?
