Chapter 22: Goodbye Silver Treasure Chest
Wang Jue took in these refugees.
“Overlord, there are more here.”
The soldiers behind him came in to report.
They also discovered quite a number of refugees in the other tents.
A total of 46 people, divided in six tents.
In the end, all the refugees chose to join Wang Jue’s Ancient City Wei.
Wang Jue ordered a portion of his armored guards to lead the refugees back to the territory.
Meanwhile, he walked into the last tent.
This tent was filled with supplies.
All sorts of things were placed inside, including some cloth and wood, as well as four to five wild boars that were hung up.
Among the messy supplies, a shiny silver treasure chest caught Wang Jue’s attention.
A Silver Treasure Chest, very rare.
To be able to encounter a Silver Treasure Chest in such a place made Wang Jue sigh at his luck.
“Silver Treasure Chest, good stuff.”
Wang Jue looked at the treasure chest excitedly. This was the second Silver Treasure Chest that he had encountered. The previous one was when he had killed the grizzly bears.
Wang Jue walked forward.
He opened the treasure chest.
[System notification: Silver Treasure Chest]
[System notification: Ordinary Rations x99]
[System notification: 600 Gold Coins]
[System notification: Advancement Gem x3]
[System notification: Low-level Magic Scroll x1]
[System notification: Thorn Armor Design x1]
[System notification: Random Building Blueprint x1]
[System notification: Intermediate Advanced Sword Technique x1]
There were a total of eight items.
Silver Treasure Chests could be broken down into mithril. Wang Jue did that and obtained two pieces of mithril.
Gold coins and ordinary rations were the two least valuable items. Wang Jue directly put them into the system.
There were also four ancient sheepskin scrolls and three black Advancement Gems.
Wang Jue casually picked up a scroll and opened it.
A hint.
[Random Building Blueprint: After using it, you will receive a random building blueprint.]
“Use.”
Wang Jue used it directly.
[System notification: Obtained a blueprint for a Mages Guild.]
Wang Jue checked the details of the blueprint.
[Mages Guild Blueprint]
[Requirements: Iron Block x60, Wood x100, Gold Coins x500, Soul x2, Mithril x6, Elemental Crystal x5]
[Effect: Recruit two low-rank mages every week and provide for two Elemental Crystals every week.]
“Not bad. Although it requires a lot of materials, it’s worth the price.”
Wang Jue picked up the second scroll.
[Low-level Magic Scroll. Provides defense for a territorial area of 1,000 square meters after use. It can take 10,000 points of damage, and lasts 24 hours.]
[One-time use scroll]
“A collective defense scroll, this is a good item!”
Wang Jue’s eyes lit up. Defensive scrolls were almost the most valuable scrolls in the early territorial battles.
Sometimes, offensive scrolls might not be more useful than defensive ones. After all, there were many buildings and commoners in the territory. If there was a war, this could at least protect the territory from any harm.
Wang Jue put away the Mages Guild Blueprints and this defense scroll.
The armor design was for a piece of upper body armor equipment. Wearing it could increase one’s defense and beat back damage. When close-combat soldiers are geared with it, their capabilities would increase significantly.
Then, he opened the next sheepskin scroll.
It was a Skill Book about basic swordplay. Wang Jue immediately opened it and used it.
A lot of understanding of swordsmanship suddenly appeared in Wang Jue’s mind. The amazing thing about the Skill Book was that it could save time and directly infuse experience and techniques into the beneficiary.
With a wave of his hand, Wang Jue played a beautiful movement . He felt that his current swordsmanship was completely different from the past.
His improvement was significant.
Then, Wang Jue opened the last item.
[Advancement Gem: Directly advance to the next level without using EXP. Limited to Level 10 and below.]
Wang Jue tapped to use it right away.
Wang Jue’s current level immediately increased to Level 5, and his physical attributes also increased.
“Carl, check if we missed anything.”
As the saying goes, one must take advantage of every opportunity to benefit oneself.
Carl led the soldiers to do another careful examination and collected all the supplies in the camp.
Before leaving, Wang Jue made sure that he had taken everything before walking out of the tent.
He could not wait to return to his territory and begin construction,
The soldiers had already escorted the refugees to the territory.
It was already late, and Wang Jue had no intention of continuing his exploration.
Several soldiers reported that they had found a stable at the back of the camp.
There were a total of 11 horses. They happened to kill 11 bandits today.
[System notification: Grassland Horse]
[Grassland horses have strong endurance and can travel 300 miles a day.]
Wang Jue didn’t know how to ride, but it didn’t matter.
Opening the system, Wang Jue found the riding tab from a column of skills.
He spent 100 gold coins to master the basic riding skill.
With a skillful step, Wang Jue mounted his horse.
Wang Jue instructed, “Everyone, count your men and get ready to mount. We will return to the territory.”
For the other soldiers, simple riding was not a problem.
However, Quina made no move to mount.
Wang Jue’s heart stirred and he asked, “Quina, you don’t know how to ride a horse?”
Quina shook her head.
Wang Jue extended a hand and looked at her calmly.
Quina hesitated for a moment before extending her fair hand.
It didn’t take much to pull Quina onto his horse. She settled behind Wang Jue.
Wang Jue tightened his arms and swung his horsewhip.
“Giddy up!”
In the night, the two of them rode on a horse, galloping towards the territory..
