Chapter 1012: Chi Xia, Why Do You Care About Me?

Chi Xia hung her head, not knowing what to say. Even she felt like she was being a busybody.
Just as she was in a dilemma, she saw from the corner of her eye that the red light in front of her had turned green. She quickly reminded him,”Young Master Su, the light is green. We can go now.”
Su Chen ignored her change of topic and continued to press her. “”I asked you to answer me!”
The sound of a car horn came from the back of the car, urging her anxiously. However, Su Chen still stared at Chi Xia, not allowing her to avoid his question.
Chi Xia was a little anxious. ” Hurry up and drive! ”
“Answer me first!”
Chi Xia had no choice but to think about it. ” Young Master Su, if you think that I’m a busybody, then I won’t meddle in your personal affairs anymore, alright? ” Can you drive first?”
Su Chen pursed his lips. Couldn’t this woman say something he liked to hear?
Su Chen didn’t say anything. He looked away and continued driving.
Chi Xia secretly heaved a sigh of relief. She looked at the man’s side profile and drew a cold line. She seemed to have provoked him again.
She thought about what he had just said and asked her why she cared about him. Actually, she didn’t know either. Was this considered caring?
He just didn’t want to see his relationship with his mother so stiff. He didn’t want to spend the holidays alone. That kind of feeling wasn’t pitiful. It was indescribable.
Chi Xia didn’t know what was wrong with her. Was she addicted to being a nanny and became more and more like to be a busybody?
The car stopped in the parking lot and Su Chen got out of the car without a word. Chi Xia followed suit and opened the trunk. She wanted to take the bag out, but Su Chen beat her to it and closed the trunk with the bag.
Chi Xia watched the man’s back as he entered the elevator. She was not sure what he was angry about, so she followed him into the elevator silently. Then, she walked out of the elevator and into the house. She was speechless the entire way.
After entering the room, Chi Xia packed up her things, put the vegetables in the fridge, put the snacks in the corner, washed the fruits, cut a few oranges, and brought the fruit platter into the study.
Su Chen was working. She knocked on the door and walked in. She saw Su Chen buried in his work and ignored her.
Chi Xia put down the fruit platter and frowned. She stood by the desk with her head lowered. After a while, Su Chen looked up at her. ” Is there anything else? ”
“Young Master Su, I’m sorry.” Chi Xia apologized seriously.
Su Chen narrowed his eyes. Had this woman really become enlightened?
However, Chi Xia continued, ” I won’t meddle in other people’s business anymore. Don’t be angry. I really didn’t mean to offend you. ”
Su Chen’s expression turned cold. So, this was why she apologized?
He stood up and walked towards her. As he approached her, she subconsciously retreated and finally pressed her against the wall.
“What are you doing?” Chi Xia stared at him with wide eyes. ” Chi Xia, what if I say that I’m glad you’re meddling in my business? ”
Su Chen’s casual words stunned Chi Xia.
He was happy that she was meddling in other people’s business…?
What did this mean?
Chi Xia’s mind went blank for a moment. She looked at the man’s approaching face and instinctively pushed him away and ran out of the study.
Why was this man acting so strange today?
Chi Xia rushed back to her room and closed the door. She took deep breaths and felt her heart beat faster as if it was going to jump out of her chest.
However, she was just as strange today.
Why was her heart beating so fast? It wasn’t the first time Su Chen had gotten close to her, so why was he so nervous?
