Actually, it was not that Su Chen did not know how to cook. He just did not want to admit it in front of Chi Xia.

When he was studying abroad, other than Li Yan’s family who settled in new York, the other three people lived alone in the apartment like him.

Sometimes, the four brothers would gather together. Even if they didn’t want to eat takeout food, they would occasionally cook.

Su Chen examined her and found that a piece of her fingernail had been cut off. Fortunately, it did not cut her flesh.

In an instant, his expression turned cold again. ” You’re so stupid that you don’t even know how to cut vegetables? Are you trying to get injured on purpose so that I can give you sick leave?”

Su Chen frowned. Did this woman think that his hands were dirty?

After Chi Xia washed her hands, she returned to the kitchen and saw that Su Chen had already washed the fish. His face was dark.

He said coldly, ” I’ve already washed it for you. Do you still need me to make it for you? ”

“If you want to practice your culinary skills, I don’t mind…”

Before she could finish her sentence, the man glared at her. ” Dream on, do it when you sleep at night. ”

Chi Xia was speechless.

However, Su Chen did not leave the kitchen after washing the fish. He stood at the side and waited for her to start the fire.

He looked like he didn’t believe in her cooking, which made her very unhappy.

Alright, even she did not believe in her own cooking skills. This was the first time she had cooked such a difficult dish.

Chi Xia turned on the fire and started cooking according to the steps that Mrs. Chi had told her over the phone. She placed the fish into the pot and poured some water into it. She just needed to turn on the fire and cook it until the water was dry.

Chi Xia clapped her hands and glanced at Su Chen. ” How is it? I didn’t make you feel like you wasted your 30,000 yuan salary, did I? ”
