Collin looked at the rose garden that was filled with thorny bushes.
“Roses are still regarded as the prettiest despite their painful thorns, just like you,” Collin complimented.
The frown on Maisy’s face finally eased up a little, and she faintly smiled. “But the roses will eventually wilt, just like me as well,” she said with a hint of sadness in her eyes.
Her beautiful and young look would eventually disappear one day whether she liked it or not. Jay was different. The aura he had was like an aged whiskey. The older he got, the more attractive and sought after he would become.
“But time never fails a true beauty either,” Collin argued.
Maisy smiled and could feel that the night breeze that brushed past her ears had eased up a little.
However, before she could reply, Jay suddenly grabbed her by her wrist. He pulled her behind him as if he was protecting her and coldly stared at Collin to study the stranger.
“She’s mine,” Jay sternly warned. “Keep your hands off her.”
Collin shrugged and put up an innocent act as if he did not have any ulterior motives. “Oh! Don’t mind me. I just noticed your girl was standing here with a lonely expression.”
Jay let out a grunt and pulled Maisy away from the party with him. Everyone was shocked to see Jay leave. They all quickly gathered around Collin, asking what had happened between him and Jay.
When they got back to the car, Jay literally threw Maisy into the backseat, causing her to yelp in pain when her shoulder hit the seat.
As the driver drove them back, they sat in the backseat with a space that could fit another person dividing them. The man looked outside the car window at the city’s nightlife and lights. He didn’t even turn once to look at her or talk to her.
Maisy was completely confused by the situation. She couldn’t tell what Jay was thinking just from his expression. It seemed to her that he was angry, but there were also times when he looked like he wasn’t. All she could tell was that he was very annoyed, but she had no idea why.
Jay suddenly turned around and asked, “So, do you think having a man who can give you money is not enough for you? Are you trying to seduce another one?”
Maisy was completely shocked by his question, not understanding why that had crossed his mind.
“I didn’t!” Maisy shook her head.
Instead of getting angry, Jay smiled. Yet, it wasn’t the gentle smile that Maisy was accustomed to. It was an eerie cold smile that sent a silver down her spine.
Jay moved closer to Maisy, forcing her to move further away from him until her back hit the door. Without any place to run to, she build her courage up and stared at the man in his eyes.
Without any warning, Jay kissed her. The kiss was so intense that it made her feel like he was expressing his frustration at her. As Maisy felt her strength leaving her, she had to rest her hands on his shoulder while his warm hands ran all over her body, causing her to feel numb.
When Jay finally let go of Maisy’s lips, she collapsed into his arms as she gasped for air. She looked at Jay, completely blushed. The man could feel his thing getting hard by her seductive stare. He was getting so hard that it was starting to hurt. Just as he was about to take things further, Maisy refused him.
“T-there’s someone with us…” Maisy embarrassingly said.
Just the kiss was more than enough to embarrass her. There was no way a shy person like her would allow him to take things further when there was another person present.
Jay moved closer to the lady’s ear and whispered, “So, are you saying we can do it once we get back?”
When his warm breath hit her ear, it turned red immediately. Her mind was completely blank. She had no idea how to reply to his question. As she was still thinking of an answer, the car stopped. Jay wrapped his arm around her waist and legs and lifted her. As Jay walked back into his mansion, Maisy had to wrap her arms around his shoulders. She could feel his body temperature rising.
Maisy could hear the clear click-clack from Jay’s leather shoe as he walked, and her heart beat accordingly to each step.
Jay didn’t even hesitate when he kicked the bedroom door open. Even though the expensive evening dress Maisy was wearing was pretty, the quality was no better than the cheap products. With a strong pull, he tore the dress open, revealing the pale white skin beneath it with hickeys previously left by him still visible to the naked eyes..
