The Body Swap Game - Chapter 50
Chapter 50: Marvelous
By the time the train reached the station, Xia Yu still couldn’t remember who this guy was.
He frowned and wanted to see where the latter walked after getting off the train, maybe that would jog his memory. However, the guy got into a sports car as soon as he left the subway station.
Putting this puzzle aside, Xia Yu walked toward Kong Hanyue’s home.
Meanwhile, Zhong Yunze asked his friend, who was driving the car, to stop by the grocery store first, then he headed home.
He didn’t go inside right away. First, he went to the garage and looked at his beloved mountain bike.
This time, he came back to see Kong Hanyue and also to bring his mountain bike to Yaoguang City.
His mountain bike was custom-made by the manufacturer and couldn’t be bought anywhere!
He got onto the bike and pushed down on the pedal, circling the garage.
Custom-made mountain bikes felt much better.
He stopped the bike and caressed its handlebars. Then, he picked up the groceries and left the garage, heading toward his home’s entrance.
As he rounded a corner, he stopped suddenly and hid behind the wall.
He saw an unfamiliar man pressing his doorbell!
Who was it? A bad guy? Or a scammer?
The security here was so good that bad guys and scammers rarely got inside.
Seeing his mother usher the man inside, Zhong Yunze frowned.
He stayed where he was and waited.
At 10 p.m., Xia Yu left the house. Zhong Yunze saw four hours had passed and cussed. He followed the man.
Outside the subdivision, there weren’t many places to hide, enabling Xia Yu to notice Zhong Yunze right away.
In order to see if he was being followed and not just sharing the road, he circled the place, confirming that he was being followed.
As Xia Yu got into the quiet subway station at night, he suddenly started running.
Zhong Yunze started running too. When he made a turn, he ended up in a dead end.
Before he could react, Xia Yu grabbed his shoulders from behind.
“Who are you?” Xia Yu was surprised to see Zhong Yunze’s face.
He knew someone was following him. He didn’t know it was Zhong Yunze.
“It’s you.” Xia Yu remembered who Zhong Yunze was and let the guy go.
“It’s you.” Zhong Yunze also remembered Xia Yu, but only from the earlier subway encounter.
Xia Yu had seen Zhong Yunze a few years ago, but Zhong Yunze had never met Xia Yu.
“Who are you? Why were you in my house?” Zhong Yunze grabbed Xia Yu’s clothes. “If you want money, my mom has nothing. The money is with me and Xinxin.”
“She’s my mom too,” Xia Yu explained.
“What?” Zhong Yunze’s brain got muddled.
Three seconds later, he grabbed Xia Yu’s collar. “You want to hurt Xinxin?!”
“???”
What kind of reaction was that?
Before Xia Yu could explain anything, an agitated Zhong Yunze raised his fist.
Xia Yu had to dodge the fist and tripped Zhong Yunze to the ground.
At this moment, steps came toward them.
Xia Yu turned and saw Kong Hanyue.
She hugged Xia Yu. “Are you alright? Yuyu?”
I was the one who got pushed to the ground!
“Zeze, he’s your older brother.” Kong Hanyue looked at Zhong Yunze.
“How is he my older brother? Even if he was with Xinxin, he should call me older brother!” Zhong Yunze still didn’t understand the relationship.
“You’re together with Xinxin?” Kong Hanyue looked at Xia Yu happily.
“…”
Xia Yu spent some time explaining the situation to the two of them.
“Former husband’s son?” Zhong Yunze lowered his head.
Thinking of what he had done earlier, his face burned.
It was so mortifying!
“So this is the situation. I’m heading back.” Checking his phone, Xia Yu saw the time and stopped walking.
“What is it?” Kong Hanyue asked with concern.
“I missed the last train.” Xia Yu sighed.
“You don’t have to head back tonight. Stay with us.” Taking Xia Yu’s hand, Kong Hanyu looked at Zhong Yunze. “It’s okay, right Zeze?”
“If he’s my older… If it’s Xia Yu, it’s fine.” Zhong Yunze couldn’t call Xia Yu as his older brother yet.
“Then great, let’s go home!’ Taking Xia Yu with her left hand, and Zhong Yunze with her right, Kong Hanyue walked home happily.
“How did you find us?” Xia Yu asked curiously.
“Zeze’s friend’s mom told me he was back. When I saw the groceries in front of the garage, I tracked him down with location sharing!” Kong Hanyue said proudly.
“When did I turn on location sharing for you?” Zhong Yunze was shocked.
“I did. I told you about it,” Kong Hanyue said with confusion.
“Really?” Zhong Yunze frowned and thought about it with effort.
“Maybe, I forgot.”
“???”
At this point, Xia Yu took out his phone and checked it out.
Whew, Kong Hanyue hadn’t yet tracked his phone.
“Let’s go. We have to learn more guzheng.” Kong Hanyue changed the subject.
“Learn guzheng?” Zhong Yunze’s attention was diverted.
