Chapter 29- The Main Duty of the Student (7)
The advent of the “Final High” has just started the early phase of its progress. Hence, the door of the “Menemosine” still sealed. Arthur and Clayo took their time drinking much of alcohol around it, but they didn’t see any traces of door openings. For what’s inside was called the “Memory space.” A kind of dungeon that can be found throughout the door of the “Menemosine.”
In the previous setting of the novel, the giant of the story was rewarded with skills every time he cleared off such dungeon. Jeongjin, too, could corroborate with this fact. But Jeongjin was wondering now why the author, who was deemed conservative in revising the same story eight times, fashioned this kind of unexpected development.
I think there’s something wrong here.
So Jeongjin tried to recall some of the contents by using the Memory function. He found out that in the novel <The Prince of the Albion>, some of the pre-revision paragraphs were already mixed-up randomly.
Maybe his scar was the result of the mixed up between the “Final High” and previous novel versions.
As recalled, Arthur fought several battles in his life. So Jeongjin surmised that since the story was already mixed-up, it was possible that Arthur, the present mid-level prosecutor, could have fought with a stronger enemy that he only needed to fight later. Hence, Arthur might sustain fatal wounds and caused him a scar. Jeongjin never thought he was lucky enough to think about this.
He wondered furthered what would happen to this world should the main character die. This story, which he mixed-up with his “Editor’s Authority,” was easily tainted, lest he could write again. And even a mere touch of his pen has already made a hole in this manuscript.
What if a situation happens that the author can’t do anything about it? Isn’t it the end of the story?
Jeongjin recognized the fact that he was now part of this world, for he could no longer find an exit. And he didn’t want to think of any chances that this world might collapse anytime.
I hope it won’t happen. No, it’s neither for material things nor for military reasons. That won’t do.
In the meantime, Arthur grabbed Clayo’s shoulder and shook him, for Arthur pissed off talking to the latter.
“You are awful and suspicious! When I was Leo, we just hung together. And this time, you are offended because I am Arthur “Leognan” now?”
“No, that’s not it,” Clayo answered.
Then Arthur stretched out his right hand sideways. Thus, a dark black glow burst out from it. Likewise, the Promise immediately spread golden letters and announced new facts.

Jeongjin couldn’t blink a single moment because the current background of his surroundings changed to space without a shadow. And in the middle of it, they were facing each other. The stone pillars that could have seen at the back of Arthur have broken down, while at the end of Clayo, many semi-circular seats were piling high. So, out of fear, Jeongjin tried to review the novel, but he has limited time to appraise the written phrases when everything has already unfolded into a distinct reality.
It is the amphitheater, and it is foreshadowing!
Arthur, who once lived life through all sorts of life deceptions, developed an ability to read one’s expression. It was an ability that never failed him. Thus, he learned what he wanted from Clayo’s mind.
“You know who you are!” Arthur said.
“No, stop talking nonsense. Let go of me!” Clayo argued who just recently recovered from his senses and shook off Arthur’s arm.
“Don’t lie. It seems you know more about this ‘frontier skill’ that I am doing right now.” Arthur furthered.
“It’s a misunderstanding!”
“Why are you so defensive? I’m not here to blame you. Should I rather thank you? It’s a skill that’s very important to me.”
Arthur grinned and pushed to freed up Clayo’s shoulders.

At once, the two boys returned to a dusty warehouse, and outside of which, a nameless bird sang peacefully. Not long after, the scar from the back of Arthur’s hand has clouded again. He intuitively took the time to talk first.
“I am about to go crazy. I’m sick and tired of being nice, trying to save a life. But I have made it by playing upside down because I’m beginning to worry that a guy called ‘the older brother’ has started lurking again.”
In the previous story, Arthur emerged a different role. He was a charismatic king, not a blunt boy, unlike now.
Isn’t he just pretended to be a blunt boy so that he could get what he wants in the future? Didn’t he just act this way until he could get all his comrades together?
