Chapter 31- The Main Duty of the Student (9)
Jeongjin’s daily routine now consisted of studying well until late midnight, waking up in the morning and jogging within the campus’ ground. Then, he cleaned himself up before going to the library’s warehouse with Arthur.
When they were in the library’s warehouse, Arthur would ask him about his skill every day without tiring. And when that didn’t work out, he tried to dig for some background information about him. However, Clayo stubbornly stayed silent and merely bit his mouth every time Arthur talked, ignoring his harassment and questions stubbornly.
It was really tiring for him.
I’m really glad Arthur didn’t stick around in the classroom. If he kept on observing me like that, I wouldn’t be able to handle my blood pressure soaring up. Jeongjin thought, silently sighing to himself in relief.

A week passed in a blink of an eye.
The atmosphere surrounding the Basic Magic Classroom was gloomy because the result of last week’s quiz had just been announced.
“The result of this test is very alarming! The gap between the apathetic students and diligent students is far too wide to be acceptable!”
With that statement, Jevedi swung his lobes and began to announce the students’ grades starting from the bottom. Severe and stern light glinted in his eyes as he gazed at the students before him.
“I’ll start with those students who submitted blank papers. Arthur Leognan and Nebo Yarbi of Group 1, the two of you must take supplementary classes!”
It wasn’t Clayo. It was the main character and the elongated boy who got called out.
“You shouldn’t neglect the magic formulas even though you are a prosecutor! Even if you can’t open the circle yet, you could still use techniques such as [Heat] and [Dry]! All you need to know is to write the magic formulas by hand and use it. Anyway, these two skills are also quite useful for field work. You’ll be grateful you know this skill when it saves your life on the field in the future!” Jevedi claimed sternly.
“Wow, you bomb the test.”
“Will you not shut your trap, Arthur?!”
“That’s too much!” Arthur said with a mocking tone.
Arthur, whose presence was only a disturbance to the class, was done with his dispute with the professor. However, as a result, his grades were impaired. In any case, the professor proceeded to call out the grades of the other students in the first and second group, who mostly got around 3-4 questions correct. However, this result was quite normal. After all, the questions in the “Magic Dictionary” exam this time were filled with landmines.
“Alright, I’ll now call out the result of the prosecutor team. Celestes Tangpet de Nege got seven,” Jevedi said.
Clayo’s ears, which had been worn-out from Behemoth’s spartan-like tutoring, were wide open.
What? Celestes? Is she also my classmate? He thought incredulously.
Celestes was a girl who created the Albion’s air strike force single-handedly. Eventually, she would become one of the great forces under Arthur’s reign. From the previous script, Jeongjin was sure that Arthur only met her after graduation. Thus, he wondered about what happened to cause this change.
After that, Jevedi continued listing out the others’ name and grade in succession, “Lippi Angelium and Leticia Angelium, eight. Ishiel Kishion, nine. This year, the prosecutor in Group 1’s grasp of the magic subject unexpectedly rose. If I knew this before, I would arrange for extra credits!”
Lippi and Leticia? These two names coming from the professor surprised Jeongjin. He had never expected he would hear it in this place.
Clayo, who had never paid any attention to his classmate and had always stayed aloof, hurriedly looked around the classroom. Soon, he saw Lippi and Leticia sitting in the front row. They looked very adorable with their glossy brown hairs tied up with a cute headdress.
However, they didn’t wear the same thing. Lippi had decided to distinguish herself from Leticia by wearing an ivy leaf-shaped headdress on the right side of her head.
Nevertheless, their current mood wasn’t very good. Despite getting high scores, both of them still pouted their little mouths and looked at each other sadly. As if they were telling each other their grievances for not getting everything correct.
And Clayo, who was sitting on the back, was taking in this sight to his mind and thought hard. He was aware that the twin, with their golden olive-colored eyes and the slightly raised canthus, were very cute. But, they were still four years younger than Arthur. So, by all right, they weren’t supposed to be in this room with them.
Jeongjin could easily infer that either the twins had entered school earlier than normal, or they had somewhat fudged their age. As such, Jeongjin’s mind flashed to a piece of information he gathered from “Memory”.
The Angelium sisters, who used a double sword weapon, were able to battle with four people when they joined forces together. And the two of them were also considered one of Arthur’s main forces later on.
Their combination is called ‘The Guardian’. However, really… I can ascertain that this isn’t a corrupt school. But I can’t believe that all military leaders of this country that rose to prominence all came from the same school and the same class. Was there a connection between these current circumstances and the prince? Jeongjin mused silently, eyes hooded in contemplation.
He had no idea of how far those kids have gotten involved with the prince. However, it was clear to him that the author was trying to give Arthur his wings as fast as possible.
Thus, Jeongjin felt concerned. Every clue he had gathered now painted to something was brewing in the horizon. It felt ominous to him.
It means there’s a high possibility that a war might be brought forward at an earlier date.
With his mind tangled with new additional information, he couldn’t even pretend to listen to Jevedi’s speech.
“Clayo Asser? Can you hear me?” Jevedi asked.
“… Yes, sir?” Startled out of his thought, the skinny boy spoke up with a soft and tiny voice.
“You’re the only one who’s got all ten magic formulas correct!”
