Chapter 51- The Essence of Investment (3)
After handing the invitation letter sent by Celeste to the hotel’s receptionist, they were given a key to the suite located on the third floor of the De Nege Hotel.
The suite had two rooms that were connected with a reception room in between them. It was a perfect place in consideration for Clayo, who brought his private teacher along.
And as soon as they entered the room, Clayo spread the bed sheets and laid it on the floor. He then took the Lira Sculpture from the box, which he insisted on carrying by himself instead of having it be delivered to him later.
Next to Lila Sculpture were the Mana Opal Stone and Lira’s string that was made of gold sand of time. Clayo bought those two items at a special price from Dione, but normally, they should cost him 50,000 dinars.
The Lira Sculpture in its current form is disguised and looked insignificant. And that was how it managed to avoid the Trinity Auction House’s connoisseurs appraisal. Only when it was restored would its real value be known.
However, it could only be restored if all the original components were in place. That was why Vasco couldn’t restore it until he combined dozens of ingredients together.
Suddenly, without even knocking, Dione came in at Clayo’s bedroom. Surprised by what she saw, she came closer with eyes gleaming with curiosity.
“What are you doing? Can I see it?”
“You won’t go away even if I tell you to, will you?”
“Well, that’s true. Anyway, I’m also a wizard who is proficient in the research field. Wouldn’t you also be interested in recovering something ancient if you were me?”
With that said, Dione immediately pulled out the chair and sat down, looking at the proceeding with interest. Clayo just sighed and decided to ignore her presence. He then proceeded to activate a small narrow circle, that was only about 2 meters in diameter, that covered the Lira pieces and the materials he brought.
From his knowledge, there was only one magical formula that was suitable for this occasion. But such a formula was very complicated to handle as it came from the very last page in the first volume of Magical Dictionary.
“[Restoration!]”
The gorgeous magical formula activated with a flash of light, but its radiance was weak. Then, the light scattered as the magic formula went out of order.
Sure enough, it won’t work without a mantra…
Clayo wished he knew what mantra Vasco used to restore the lira, but in the novel, it only described the restored item. So, with no other choice, he promptly used other mantras that he thought would work. Unfortunately, the lira’s restoration, that had been going on well, was shaken. In the end, it stopped and all the pieces fell while the limestones that were attached to it remained intact.
Dione, who was listening to Clayo’s mantra, asked. “Do you know the original form of this thing?”
“Yes, I know.”
At Clayo’s affirmation, Dione looked surprised and she had to wonder how did Clayo manage to know such a thing without researching it?
“In that case, just imagine its original shape and recite a specific mantra with its shape and use in mind.”
While he was sitting down, he folded his arms and looked down at the lira with a frown.
Let’s wager it all with my magic stars.
Truthfully, it was difficult for Clayo to squeeze out a mantra every time. However, in consideration of the considerable price of the restored object, he had no choice prep himself up.
Was there a reason why Vasco, who studied the ancient books extensively named it Lira of Terskore? Ah, the description said it’s a musical instrument that was played by Muse and that it gave a mythical tone when used.
With that, Clayo thought for over 5 minutes. He was trying to find all kinds of words to be used in the mantra to restore this lira. And once again, he felt a moment of ‘I should have gone to the Korean Literature Department before.’, before he finally made an appropriate mantra to use.
Then, he carefully activated his magic circle again and recited his new mantra. Dione, who was watching him, felt inwardly impressed by his eloquence, speed, and accuracy of the mantra he made in the span of five minutes.
And as soon as the circle’s light was shining, Clayo shouted the mantra he had just created.
“[Back to the figure you used to be in Muse’s hand, to give joy to the hymn!]”
An ethereal light of ether flashed and whirled in before the circle. And a very bright light has colored the space white.
Ugh… this formula is pretty good at eating up your ether…
After a while, the light faded away and revealed the restored item. The sight before them was absolutely marvelous, and even Dione, who was a very bold person and not easily enchanted, got spellbound. She showed the reaction of someone who had witnessed the impossible.
There, in the middle of the bedsheet, a bright and glossy lira laid. It was as if the mother-of-pearl and opal were mixed to create the lira. With seven strings that were made of gold sand of time, the musical instrument looked like it was fit to be Gods’ possession.
“This… is amazing!”
Dione, who was overwhelmed, stared intermittently at the instrument and the person who restored it.
“Young master, can I try some magical analysis?”
“Sure, go ahead. It’s fine to do it however much you want.”
Getting permission, Dione immediately opened her magic circle and used the tracking and analysis magic formula. And while it was swift in giving her answer, that magic formula was not without its shortcoming. It was unable to accurately analyze the objects that were in incomplete form.
Still, despite that shortcoming, it was a pretty accurate and handy spell if used correctly.
“[Object, reveal your true solidarity and origin!]”
Dione’s circle flashed, and because of the Understanding function of Promise, a string of words flashed before Clayo’s mind informing him that Dione was a Level-3 Magician.
All the while, Dione was focused on analyzing the restored item as she bit her lips. When she received the result, she forgot to maintain proper demeanor as she jumped up in astonishment.
“It’s more than a thousand years old artifact. It can already be considered a relic!”
She exclaimed with a raised voice, excited. Clayo clenched his fist in victory when he heard the result of her analysis.
Finally, the restoration of the Lira of Terskore was successful.
Clayo’s shoulder lost its tension as his strength drained away in relief.
Okay. Now, all you have to do is sell it!
