The Former Wife of Invisible Wealthy Man - Chapter 55.2
Chapter 55: The Skipping Ghost (2)
“The team led by Ye Sui won this game.”
After the live broadcast announcement, the netizens rushed to comment under the program’s official Weibo.
“We demand Chang Ying to continue participating in the snack bar. Please, Director, ask her to join a few more times! Give Ye Sui more opportunities to praise the audience.”
“I follow this program regularly! Please post more such plans! Director, add chicken legs next time!”
In this competition between Ye Sui and Chang Ying, the program group of “I Open a Snack Shop with Stars” was the biggest winner.
When the show was recorded, a car was already waiting for Ye Sui at the door. After saying goodbye to other celebrities and staff, Ye Sui got on it.
“I can finally rest.” Ye Sui leaned against the seat and looked relaxed.
The car drove all the way into the night. Although tired, Ye Sui was in a good mood and sang softly.
Since the talk with Chen Shu in Yunnan, the big stone in Ye Sui’s heart had been put down. This life seemed to have nothing to fret about anymore.
Ye Sui’s good mood lasted all day, and even Xiao Liu couldn’t stand it, frequently looking at her from the rearview mirror.
“Ye Sui, why are you in such a good mood?” Xiao Liu was surprised. Even if Ye Sui was very happy before, she was not as relaxed as she was now.
Ye Sui smiled and showed off. “Of course, it has something to do with my husband.”
Xiao Liu was silent. “…”
A single like Xiao Liu felt that this world was full of malice; she could only eat today’s provocation.
The car stopped at Ye Sui’s house, but she did not move.
“Wait, I told my husband to come down and pick me up.” Ye Sui showed her love without any qualms and dialed Chen Shu’s telephone.
Since Chen Shu already knew that she could see ghosts, she didn’t have to struggle to find reasons like before, just telling him directly.
Ghosts were everywhere. As she didn’t know whether they were good or bad and even though Ye Sui had become fearless, she couldn’t fully adapt to it.
Xiao Liu did not know her thoughts. She only figured Ye Sui was just showing her love in front of her and, with a dull face, listened to the voice from behind her.
“Chen Shu, it’s too dark, and I’m scared. Can you come down and pick me up?” Ye Sui dialed the number and changed her fear of ghosts into another meaning.
In fact, the interpretation of this sentence was, ‘Chen Shu, your yang energy is abundant. When you come here, the ghosts will not dare to get close to me.’
Chen Shu knew Ye Sui would be afraid, so he didn’t change his clothes when he came home and sat in the living room, waiting for Ye Sui.
The mobile phone was placed on the tea table in front of him. As soon as his cell phone rang, Chen Shu picked up the call.
“Okay, I’ll come.” Chen Shu perfectly understood the meaning of Ye Sui’s words.
Xiao Liu’s understanding was quite different, however. Her fantasy included Ye Sui acting all mushy, calling her husband, two people holding hands, loving each other, and going upstairs.
As Ye Sui hung up the phone and waited in the car, Xiao Liu’s phone rang suddenly: it was her mother.
After Xiao Liu answered the phone, her tone became a little urgent. “My sister is going to give birth. Sui Sui, I’ve to go first.”
Hearing this, Ye Sui immediately stepped out and waved to Xiao Liu. “You go quickly. I’m all right and pay attention to your safety.”
After the car roared off, Ye Sui glanced about; clear, with no one around. She thought that Chen Shu was coming down soon, so she simply stood downstairs, waiting for him.
Ye Sui gazed at her foot and didn’t dare to look anywhere else for fear of glimpsing at something she shouldn’t see.
Not long after, a small stone suddenly hit Ye Sui’s head. The strength was quite heavy, and the effect somewhat painful.
Clang!
Then, a big stone crashed with a loud sound at her foot, almost hitting it. If struck, Ye Sui would have been injured.
Ye Sui looked up at the surroundings and saw a child standing under a big tree, looking towards her. He was still holding a stone in his hand.
Ye Sui was relieved to see that it was a child’s prank. She stepped ahead and walked under the big tree. “Little one, you shouldn’t throw stones at others; don’t you know this?”
Before Ye Sui approached the big tree, she stopped, because she saw that the little brat under the tree was not human at all!
