Chapter 66: Go to sleep. I’m here to watch over you. (3)
Chen Shu replied, “I’ve been only looking at you.”
Ye Sui didn’t dare to enter the bedroom, only huddling in the corner of the sofa. With a few hours to go before the sunrise, she was not going to sleep. Who knew what would happen once she closed her eyes?
“I’ll talk to you for another five minutes and will go to bed then.” Ye Sui said so, but her tone obviously suggested otherwise.
Chen Shu didn’t reveal it, but his lips curled up.
Ye Sui chatted with Chen Shu without being aware of the time. She glanced at the clock in the upper right corner and found that five minutes had passed before she knew it.
Ye Sui dallied and didn’t want to say goodbye. “Chen Shu, it’s been five minutes. Do you… have to… go to bed?”
Ye Sui had just finished her sentence when suddenly, there was a knock on the door that sounded so clear in the silent night, as if the ghosts were standing outside.
“Chen Shu, there is a ghost knocking at the door.” Ye Sui looked at the door in horror.
Chen Shu’s helpless voice fell. “It’s me. Open the door.”
Ye Sui was stunned. She threw her cell phone on the sofa and rushed to the door. As soon as the door opened, Chen Shu’s smiling face became visible.
Chen Shu stepped into the room and said, “I’ve seen the paparazzi outside the door.”
With Chen Shu in, Ye Sui had nothing to fear. Her eyes could not help but smile. “You can leave tomorrow morning. I will have Xiao Liu take you out.”
Chen Shu naturally had no problem. “Go wash up. I’ll wait for you here.”
Ye Sui hesitated for a moment, which Chen Shu noticed. He pointed toward the door. “You go to the bathroom. I’ll wait for you in the room.”
This time, Ye Sui nodded quickly.
When Ye Sui went to the bathroom to brush her teeth, she looked at Chen Shu sitting in the room from time to time to make sure that he was still there.
After such a long day, Ye Sui was already too sleepy. Her eyelids drooped, and her face was full of fatigue.
“Go to sleep. I’m here to watch over you.” After hearing Chen Shu’s words, Ye Sui’s eyes closed, instantly falling asleep.
Until Ye Sui fell asleep, Chen Shu did not leave the room. He sat on the sofa, not far from her. Ye Sui was so exhausted. He didn’t want the ghosts to disturb her.
When Ye Sui opened her eyes in the morning, she saw Chen Shu sleeping in his clothes and leaning against the sofa. Even while resting, he kept his grace.
Chen Shu had his head slightly lowered, did not drool, did not snore, and his breathing fluctuated so lightly, it was as if he had just closed his eyes.
The warm sunshine came into the room, which made the whole place bright and cozy. The sunlight fell on Chen Shu’s face, accentuating his features.
Ye Sui’s breathing became sluggish. Instead of rushing up, she chose to maintain her original posture and kept looking at Chen Shu.
The next second, Chen Shu’s body suddenly moved slightly, and his eyes slowly opened as they met Ye Sui’s unblinking gaze.
Ye Sui was somewhat embarrassed for being caught red-handed, so she immediately sat up from the bed and said, “You woke up.”
Chen Shu was still in a daze after waking up. He didn’t realize Ye Sui was staring at him just now, nodding along with her words.
Beep! Beep!
The sound of a password entering was heard from outside the door. Ye Sui had almost forgotten that Xiao Liu knew the code of her room. Now, she should be bringing the program team.
Ye Sui quickly walked to Chen Shu and took his hand. Her voice was full of an apologetic tone. “I’m sorry for wronging you.”
The next second, Chen Shu was pulled to the front of the wardrobe, and Ye Sui’s hand gently pushed him inside.
Ye Sui bent down and lowered her voice. “After I leave, I’ll let Xiao Liu take you out from the back door.”
Before Chen Shu could answer, Ye Sui closed the wardrobe. Immediately, he was plunged into darkness, with wisps of light penetrating through the opening.
At the moment when the wardrobe door was closed, the program group also entered the room.
Had they come a minute earlier, they would have directly bumped into the crime scene and confirmed last night’s news.
