In a distant location, the Dragonsoar Academy.
Within the vice principal’s office, the Heavenly Azure Dragon totem hanging on the luxurious wall cast a gentle azure glow.
Elijah Dragonjoy gazed at the Azure Dragon totem, lost in thought.
“The Heavenly Azure Dragon is about to be born. Could it be that the upcoming Era of Beast Control will be led by Rosewood College once again?” he gripped his massive fist with some reluctance.
After all, one reason why Rosewood College had become the top Beast Taming College in the country, aside from its reputation as a Pharmacist’s holy land, was its possession of the Heavenly Azure Dragon, a rare opponent in the world.
Otherwise, if Rosewood College lacked sufficient martial strength, even if their pharmacists possessed impressive alchemy skills and could produce the legendary Nine-turns Golden Elixir, they would be easy prey to the immortal powerhouses.
“There are Five Elements in heaven and earth, and the legendary Supreme Dragon God (Ancestral Dragon) is a divine beast born from the force of the Five Elements at the dawn of creation. As for the Eclipse Dragon, the Ultimate Fire Emperor Dragon, I wonder if its essence blood will help my teacher take that crucial step and resurrect the Ancestral Dragon of the Ancient Age!”
With this thought, Elijah Dragonjoy couldn’t help but look in the direction of the far-off Mountain Tigrex, where the elite powers of the Dragonsoar Academy often gathered.
It was then that the office door was knocked upon, as staff members of the academy were making their routine reports.
“Director Dragonjoy, Gees Goldsmith, the director of Peony College, has already reached the perimeter of the Demise Relic and ordered the local Trainer Guild to begin setting up the Twelve Cities Heavenly Circle.
Meanwhile, Grandmaster Hoyle, Lilith of Rosewood College, has also led her disciples deep into the Demise Relic…”
“The Twelve Cities Heavenly Circle?” Hart Dragonjoy’s eyes narrowed slightly.
The original Twelve Cities Heavenly Circle, created by Immortal Goldsmith who had penetrated the Heaven and Earth Laws, could only be activated by the founder, Saint Behemoth. The Twelve Cities Heavenly Circle set up by Gees Goldsmith was a simplified version of the former.
Even so, this formation required at least twelve Class VII Overlord Pets with different attributes and a perfect connection with each other to be positioned in a Great Five Elements cycle to be successfully deployed. The stronger the main controller and their main battle pet were, the more powerful the Twelve Cities Heavenly Circle would be.
Adding to the complexity, the Twelve Cities Heavenly Circle, along with the Six Paths Dragon Locking Circle left by Immortal Goldsmith, could contain even a primed Dragon of the End, making it very difficult to break through the layers of seals.
Moreover, as time passed, the heavenly and earthly arcane force near Waterland City became increasingly sparse, and it was difficult to predict whether the Dragon of the End could possess even fifty percent of its peak power.
“It seems that even Peony College doesn’t have high hopes for Lilith Hoyle’s success.”
Hart Dragonjoy revealed a contemplative look, then quickly dismissed the thoughts in his mind with a shake of his head.
“Regardless of what Peony College is planning, Dragonsoar Academy currently lacks the qualifications to participate. Only when my teacher has successfully resurrected and controls the Ancestral Dragon, can Dragonsoar Academy qualify as a chess player rather than a chess piece on the game board.”
After pondering for a moment, Hart Dragonjoy instructed his subordinate, “Issue a resource bounty task related to the Dragon of the End to Waterland Trainer Guild immediately.”
With that, he paused momentarily before continuing, “The reward will be uncapped, and the heart blood of the Dragon of the End can be exchanged at Dragonsoar Academy for a bottle of Ancestral Dragon Blood.”
Upon hearing this, the subordinate’s pupils contracted, and his gaze carried a trace of disbelief.
What!!! So the rumors are true, our academy actually possesses the Dragon Blood handed down from the Supreme Dragon God (Ancestral Dragon)!
But isn’t it a loss to exchange Ancestral Dragon Blood for the heart blood of the Dragon of the End?
Noticing the pang of loss in his subordinate’s eyes, Elijah Dragonjoy smiled wryly.
It’s not the same Ancestral Dragon as in the legends. The ancient Ancestral Dragon discovered by the academy is not the mythical Supreme Dragon God but an ancestor from the Eclipse Dragon lineage, the progenitor of the old dragon species. This Ancestral Dragon, worshipped as a deity in the Ancient Age and the cause of a cataclysm each time it appeared, is of a different calibre.
“You may go now,” said Hart Dragonjoy, waving his hand dismissively, with no intention of explaining to the subordinate the vast chasm between the Supreme Ancestral Dragon and the Ancient Ancestral Dragon.
“Clack.” The door closed.
Elijah Dragonjoy sighed and looked up, continuing to stare at the Azure Dragon totem in a trance, his eyes filled with intense ambition and expectation.
“Who knows how the ancient Ancestral Dragon described in the old texts compares with the Heavenly Azure Dragon? Which is stronger, which is weaker?
If I could witness the two divine dragons fighting for supremacy in my lifetime, even if I were to perish on the spot, my life would not have been lived in vain!”
…
Elsewhere, deep within the Demise Relic.
Facing the suddenly emerging fiery pathway, everyone turned their heads toward Lilith Hoyle, with Rosalind Louise displaying an expression of surprise and uncertainty.
“Rosalind, do you know where this path leads?” asked Lilith Hoyle.
“Teacher, according to the ancient texts, the outer layer of the Demise Relic contains a chamber that houses the tomb of a terrifying beast. It appeared only once in history before mysteriously disappearing.
The Titanium Ragdoll that our ancestors of the Louise family contracted was obtained from that chamber. Regrettably, no matter how hard we searched afterward, we couldn’t find any trace of the tomb’s existence,” Rosalind Louise suddenly remembered the diaries left by her forebears.
Lilith Hoyle frowned slightly, her gaze sweeping over Daphne, her thoughts a whirl.
“Let’s go in and see.”
With those words, she led the way.
Following the teacher’s lead, David Jones cautiously stepped onto the fiery pathway.
“Rumble rumble!”
Midway down the path, the scorching passageway suddenly erupted into an intense explosion, countless searing fireballs rising from the ground.
“Quell the Flames.”
Lilith Hoyle glanced around, and the rampaging fireballs within the pathway were extinguished as if encountering a sovereign ruler of flames, silencing and disappearing completely without a trace.
“So powerful!” David Jones exclaimed with astonishment as he watched his teacher, akin to a queen of flames.
Only a pharmacist who practiced the Pure Flames knew how potent the group fire-extinguishing skill displayed by the teacher was. Even the boiling lava beings nurtured deep within the earth’s core were forced to submit to the teacher’s will and meet their annihilation.
With the teacher’s protection, removing the dangers in the fiery pathway, David Jones and his companions quickly reached the end of the path.
“What is that!” Rosalind Louise couldn’t help but open her mouth wide, her face a picture of shock.
Seeing this, David Jones was slightly startled and followed her gaze. A massive, constantly writhing monstrous creature instantly appeared within his sight.
Numerous emaciated dragon bodies, layer upon layer, connected together, resembling a giant, flesh-withered mountain.
At the forefront of the stack of dragon bodies was a vicious head somewhat like an octopus’s, but with seven dragon horns protruding from the top. Bloodied membranes stretched between the horns, covering them.
A huge golden eye set below the strange skull, and dry, stick-like limbs clutching a multitude of skulls, emitted a peculiar odor causing psychological discomfort.
As a hot breeze blew past, the dense skulls made a strange sound, as if welcoming the arrival of outsiders.
Just as David Jones prepared to use his Illusion-Piercing Eye to discern the creature’s reality, his teacher’s voice suddenly rang out beside him.
“Immediately avert your gaze. Prolonged scrutiny of the calamity corpse can drive you into insanity or even result in being eroded and infected by the mysterious power of the demon god!”
